If Cal stayed at UK we are a 7 seed losing to Drake.
Duke is just example 1 of 1000 ..............you can play in a weak conference and yet still be very good yourself.
Heck we did that a TON of times in our history when the SEC wasn't very good lol.

yeah, I'm sure it's no longer true (especially after this year), but at one point I think 4 of the top 10 "best" teams at kenpom were from 2015. We picked a really really bad year to try to go undefeated.

Arkansas deserves some credit for defense, but Tech is also just plain having a clunker at the worst possible time. They were 35th in the country by shooting 37% as a team from 3 during the season, but they’ve missed a ton of fairly open looks tonight.
Yeah, Duke looks really good, at times invincible. But I'm old enough to have seen several teams run through the tournament and look unbeatable.....until they were beaten. Ricky did that a couple of times in the 90s.
