Glad to see the trash situation addressed.
FOLKS ARE BEGINNING TO NOTICE!

We have stated many times here, and whenever we visit with our people, that providing an enjoyable experience at athletic events is one of the main goals of our athletic department. We have received numerous emails indicating that our folks now enjoy the game-day atmosphere on campus. Now, the opponent is beginning to notice as well. We received this email last week:

"Good afternoon! I am an Auburn graduate/fan and I attended Saturday's game in Starkville and I was completely blown away. Everyone I met was so helpful and friendly and really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. I have been to 6 of the 12 SEC campuses for Auburn games and Starkville is the best far and away. I loved the beauty of the campus and just the overall atmosphere. Also, I appreciate how your ticket prices are still within a reasonable range. I know my game-day experience couldn't have been better and I look forward to returning in 2010.

Thank You!"

Overall, it was a great atmosphere this past Saturday night, and we appreciate you making it that way. But as we report that good news, we also have to say that the Junction was not treated as well this past weekend. While we realize that we had a large crowd, it alone should not explain the amount of trash left on the grounds. Trash bags and trash cans are located in the Junction for housekeeping purposes, and we should take pride in the beautiful campus we have and leave it the way we found it. The university administrative leadership should not have to pick up refuse on Sunday that could easily have been properly put in its place on Saturday night.
