Seriously, we're gonna have the biggest QB's in the history college football. At least two 6'5's a 6'7. What else we got?

This is starting to get out of hand. Next year we will have 7 scholarship QB's. 7!!!

I'm not complaining that kids want to come to MSU, especially QB's, but I feel like we're going to break some kids' hearts... And I don't want that to hurt us down the road.

Absolutely no way it stays that way. Two out of Williams, Fits, Staley and the two current commits probably won't be on campus next season. And who are the 7 qb's? Dark and the 5 I mentioned above. Who is number 7?

I just don't want a situation where a highly touted guy won't come to MSU because he sees 2 QB's transfer because we insist on signing 2 QB's a year, and I don't want a situation where the heir apparent realizes he can graduate in 3 and is immediately eligible to play 2 at Vanderbilt.

Also have 2 studs in the 2016 class, that we have a good shot at landing in Pass and White.

You're worrying too much. There is always attrition and/or position changes. I'd rather have "too many" QBs than the situation we've had a couple of times recently where we didn't have enough.

Truth be told, QBs that are scared out of coming to MSU because of transfers or because of the depth chart wouldn't have worked out for us in the first place

Good point. Good players rarely care about what the competition looks like because they know they're going to win the job no matter what (whether they actually do is a moot point). Maybe if you have a freshman starter who made all-conference they might go somewhere else, but it that happens I will have no problem with losing out on the recruit.

Oh, I'm not worrying. Trust me. I'm the opposite of worrying.

When we're down to a 5'6" walk-on and a Wing-T guy who couldn't throw a football in the gulf if he was standing on the beach, I'll worry.

When you can't grab 5 star QB's, you bring in competition and create one. It's smart. Just forgive me for scratching my head a little bit as to why we are bringing in 2 or possibly 3 QB's this go around.

You haven't been reading the news about the QB situation at Bama, TAMU, and LSU this offseason. As long as State is pulling one touted QB and one project QB every year, I'm happy. State needs to keep the better ones and throw the others back.

Way better to ONLY sign one QB each year ...

and have them choose to sign to play baseball a la Sanberg ***

a) BETTER problem ... having too much QB talent
b) QBs ... 'usually' best athlete on a HS team
c) They CAN play 'other' positions

Big and they can all run and throw. We have never been in this position before

at the QB position.

I always figured Williams is just along for the ride. I think he saw the writing on the wall that his only option was a 0-12 USM team before us and decided it would be better to ride the pine for us, so I'm fine there.

But where I'm really worried is Staley. I think Fitz ended up being a lot better than anyone thought, and with all the talking the Staleys do... I just don't want a nasty exit if it had to end that way.

If he's as serious about basketball as he claims to be, why doesn't he play the Jimmy Graham position? They have the same measurables. And you can play both positions at once in college. Was that the plan all along?

I have some of the same red flags with Staley I did with Quay Evans and Nick James. Yeah, the coach may be a douchebag, but even douchebags don't usually kick their best player off the team without a good reason. I hope he turns out more like it looks like Nick James will and has a great career at MSU. But we're in good shape at QB either way.
