That's the deal, I can't go but would order tickets through the university...

Four dollars? And you can get on the 20 yard line for less than $12. I hope those of you who ordered through the ticket office are getting some decent seats. Or a partial refund.http://www.stubhub.com/gator-bowl-tickets/2012-gator-bowl-1-1-2013-4048584/
just for the points if I thought I could sell them for enough to get most of my money back. Looks like it would be very difficult to do that.

Game being on Tuesday is going to hurt attendance as much as anything else. The last two years worked out near perfect. Gator bowl two years ago was on Saturday, so most people had the following Monday off & could take a vacation day that Friday. Easy 4 day weekend to make the trip, game, and trip home.

Last year the game was Friday night. A lot of people just made the trip up on Friday and went straight downtown. Again - it was an easy trip with the weekend & holiday.

This year I know a lot of people who'd love to go but can't make the trip due to them or their spouse having to work either the 31st or 2nd.

I'm working on the 2nd. Game should be over by 3, gives me plenty of time to drive all the way back to MS and get up for the next day. Taking the 31st off though.

Damn. Looks like I may be able to go after all based on ticket and hotel prices I just found. Plane tickets still suck but have dropped.

I was not happy at all with the tickets for the Gator Bowl last time. I ordered through the ticket ofc again this year for the points. If they stick me in the corner end zone again, I am going to upgrade at the game. But Flab is right, ordering through the ticket ofc helps us.

The MCB tickets were great. Gator screwed us last time......

i can't go anyway so my argument is mute, but i would have a hard time ordering through the school this time around especially with stubhub selling tickets so cheap. it sucks for the school, but cheaper tickets in better places beats paying full price and having to sit in the end zone upper deck again like i did last time. Looking back i probably would have come out cheaper and gotten better seats in 2010 had i ordered from stubhub or even through the gator bowl it's self. it would help if the bowl would actually give the school better seats to sell.

There selling field level seats now for 7 bucks. You could buy now and have just in case for that kind of
money...

The amount of pussification in the comments makes me want to shoot myself. OOOHHH NOOO, we lost to Ole Miss, I can't go to the game now. Give me a 17'n break.

You don't know where your seats will be? Go to the Gator bowl website and look at where the SEC sections are. Then take a guess based on your Bulldog Club rank. You can probably eliminate the 50 yard line tickets - they'll be given to sponsors and corporations.

You don't understand the big deal if MSU has to eat $1mil in ticket prices when they get $3.5mil payout? Learn how bowl payouts work in the SEC. Learn that the team still has to travel, stay and eat for a week. It isn't free.

If you truly can't afford it, I understand that. But to put out these ******** excuses about the university making money or losing to ole miss last game so you're not excited just pisses me off.

I'm not. I clearly stated that I understand if you can't afford it. I'm knocking the people that say this "Plus anything after losing to Ole Miss just isn’t that exciting." Sure, I wanted to beat them and not get blown out by others. But, we're 8-4 and going to a 3rd straight bowl game (2nd NY day game in 3 years) for the 2nd time in school history. I guess that excites me somewhat.
