The only thing in the article that links Alabama to Raiola is the mention of another writer who wrote an article mentioning that another writer speculated about it after the 2024 season. Good lord.
Think about it for a minute guys...

Dylan is gonna be a JUNIOR next year in college. Exactly what has he proven or accomplished????????

Correct Halo, all I'm saying regardless of this thread title is simply WHAT has the young man proven or accomplished as he heads into his JUNIOR year?

Bama has Ty Simpson next year, who is better than Dylan, and a deep QB room. Bama would laugh if a Raiola pops up on caller ID.
I've seen Simpson several times this year and the kid has an absolute hose, however, the last few games he has become very scattered in his accuracy. He's missed several wide open guys.
Something happened and it may be a "mental thing" but he doesn't seem to be the same QB now.

What I loved about his earlier game is he would really put the mustard on the ball in tight windows.

Remember when the rumor was Rhule was headed to Penn State and Dylan said Rhule wasn't going anywhere he was and is his coach at Nebraska. Now I'm finally to the point where I don't really care who goes where, just get this last game over with, get the bowl game decided and move on, enough drama for this season already.

This has been one strange Nebraska football season, as strange a football season as I can ever remember. The season started with such hope then turned into nothing but second guessing and questioning everybody associated with the athletic department throughout the season.

This is like a bad ride at an amusement park, you're excited to get on it you've waited in line and finally get on but once on the ride it's not what you expected and you just want to get off. jmo

I think we're all tired of the wash, rinse, repeat.

it was over for me after Cincy as I told everyone in our chat that anyone who just ran the ball against us will beat us easily....
it's pretty pathetic that a fan can see the writing on the wall after a game and a coordinator can't fix it

I think it was going to be an upward hill to climb after we didn't replace Hutmacher and Robinson and lost our DC and DL coach to boot. We couldn't recover because we lacked poor depth at the DL and we know whose fault that is, this position should have been taken care of before those two studs left.

it's like a company who is losing their 2 best product lines and thinking they don't need any similar products to keep the company running at the same level

His eligibility is up.

Their coach will be new.

Dylan won’t get any interest from actual programs. Nobody of substance wants a poser who has never made anyone around him any better.

Vandy is about right. Could also see UNC.
What I meant was the Vandy coach liked a QB with some mobility, with my assumption their coach wasn't leaving.

We are in the minority, but the trend has been for QB's almost everywhere with some mobility, I think that limits DR's potential stopping points in the event he decides to leave.

It's like trying to shop that 4.8 RB to coaches that are used to the 4.4 and 4.5 backs. As a feature back it won't merit a second look.

Dylan gotta do what Dylan gotta do. As fans we have no say so in the matter. Once it plays out its gonna be ok either way. The days of me losing sleep over what any of these guys do is over. It's notice we are guaranteed 10-11 wins and a playoff spot if he comes back. We haven't won enough with him for me to assume the worse about us if he moves on. I like the kid but so far I don't think he changes the outcome of either UCLA or PSU..

Let's worry about these next 2 games with TJ and root like he'll for these boys!

Holla

when Dylan came into the program, it was a perfect situation for him. The room was exceptionally weak, and there was no chance he was not going to be a starter.

But things have changed now. We’ve seen TJ and many people think he has a higher ceiling. If he has to compete with TJ for the job next spring and loses, his NFL dream goes poof. Based on his past, he will be looking to walk into the right situation. Still risky, but more excuses will be available. I’m not even saying he’s an excuse maker, but history forms a narrative

I'm not a troll dude, but what has he ever done?
I was referring to the OP. But as far as Raiola is concerned, we could do one hell of a lot worse. College football is mostly about veteran QBs these days. A lot of teams are getting mileage out of bringing in guys who have made a lot of starts. Dylan will be one of those guys next year. I would take him over all of the transfer QBs who we've taken or almost taken in the past.

On that note, how good is Dylan perceived? Will a top 10 team want him to be their next qb? Top 25?

I really don’t know- he’s obviously flashed here a bit but then has some head scratchingly bad games (perhaps on holgo/satt- I’m not smart enough to tell you why).

I don’t think he’s the highest and best use of the incremental dollar at Nebraska - and since we have constrained resources, I’m not sure he’s the best investment. I wish he’d stay under affordable terms but if he wants to go get paid, he certainly should

Before he as injured, he was ranked around 38 on the top QBs of college football. That ranking is obviously some analyst’s opinion. But as far as I’m aware, Dylan’s regarded as a special talent at this point.
