What's with all the Thursday night games this year - have I missed something?

No - usually just 1 or 2 games on Thursday night, but happened to be a quirk on the schedule where there were two in the Bay Rivers, two in the Peninsula (usually 1-2 in those districts per week) and then in Norfolk where Granby and Maury share Powhatan Field, both happened to be home this week, so one had to play Thursday and the other on Friday. From here on out, I don't believe there is more than three in any week...

The Jefferson District games were only moved to last night because UVA plays tonight. The other areas of the state have had some Thursday games for years now.

didn't they used to use Saturday instead of Thursday?
