...you look at everything in a vacuum. State destroyed Houston and Houston went 10-6 in C-USA, blah, blah. Six teams beat UT at home, so a win there is just "okay", blah, blah. You clearly know nothing about what you're trying to argue. No two games or situations are alike. Sure, others beat UT at home, but did you know that UT and Memphis are heated rivals with two coaches who hate each other and rabid fanbases who hate each other, and there are huge implications to recruiting from that game? It doesn't matter if Tennessee has a losing record at home, that's a tough, tough game for Memphis, it's not the same as Auburn playing UT. As for these conference games, all of the other schools in C-USA treat that game like a championship and sell out their gyms. In other words, Memphis is getting everyone's best shot, every night.
So many of you have such penis envy over their success that you can't appreciate it for what it is. I'm not a huge Memphis fan but I appreciate good basketball, which is what they play. Folks are quick to acknowledge that they were great last year, but at this time last year, there were morons like you on here spewing the same type of stuff. Every year it gets said, and every year they still go on a run. Playing in C-USA didn't hurt them last year, when the league was worse than it was this year, and it probably won't hurt them this year. I don't think they'll go as far because they aren't as good this year as they were last year. They'll probably get a two seed, and they are worthy of it.
