I'm sorry THE Open is some of the best golf to watch especially when the winds are up. I loved it when my child was an infant, I would wake up with her at 5 am to feed her and watch The Open. I rank them Augusta, Open, US, PGA. Of course there are years when The Open is at a venue that is a little tamer and The US Open is at Bethpage or Pebble. Of course Kiawah is a great venue too so last year the PGA was fun to watch.No. There's 4 majors in golf. The Masters April 11th-14th is the first one. Then the US Open, British Open and PGA Championship. If you watch any of them watch the Masters and the US Open. These two are by far my favorites.
No, we've heard it every year for the last however many, and we heard it a few weeks ago before he bombed at match play and the next tournament. He might win one, thought I doubt it, and he is definitely not "bacK" nor will he ever be.
So STUPID so STUPID so STUPID.No. There's 4 majors in golf. The Masters April 11th-14th is the first one. Then the US Open, British Open and PGA Championship. If you watch any of them watch the Masters and the US Open. These two are by far my favorites.
Damn a PGA official is no joke. Ask him for a job ha
What? For tour players, sure, for average golfers bunkers are plenty of a penalty. From green side rough I have 4 shots at my disposal, chip and run, solid pitch and run, pitch and check on the second bounce, or a swing the **** out of an effective loft of 65 degree giant flop. Out of a bunker, clean lie I have two, blast for maximum carry that hopefully lies dead or the clean pick and check with the 58 degree. I am a pretty good short game guy and was an awful bunker player, (somehow avoided them at State and there was only 3 in all of warren county), but I built one in my back yard to practice and I'm still pretty mediocre. When I play with fairly skilled golfers I get commended on what are average shots to me from a green side bunker (between 5 and 10 feet away from the hole.) and that is perfect white sand fluffy bunkers in the panhandle. So I think bunkers even when raked are plenty of a problem. Don't get me started on fairway bunkers. The ones on original 14 at State are where plenty of rounds in the 70's went to die.Totally agree on US bunkers. They are no longer a penalty. Too easy to stop the ball out of a bunker. I'd almost prefer if rakes were disallowed and only at the beginning of the day are they raked and cleaned and then no raking is allowed throughout the day. That would make them entertaining atleast.
