A part of me thinks Peyton Manning may be done... As in won't see the field again. Have you seen him in interview snippets? He looks like death warmed over.

And of course Tiger's life as a whole is a complete train wreck.

He may not play much more, but he has a future in coaching or broadcasting if he wants it. Tiger might play golf for another decade or more (though not contiguously) and the most he will do is sniff the top 5 of a major and get the occasional smaller tournament win.

It may take 2-3 years, but I think Tiger will eventually get back to at least being on leaderboards if not winning tournaments. Peyton, on the other hand, I fear is almost done.

Howie Long and Michael Strahan were on Mike and Mike this morning and both emphasized that when your injuries start getting to your neck area, you can just about hang it up. For one, it's a kind of pain that will bring a 300-lb man to his knees and two, you're talking some serious consequences if you take the wrong kind of hit. Peyton may not see the contact that defensive lineman do, but he has to twist and turn on every play and if there are any of you that haven't ever had some sort of neck/back problem, I cannot begin to explain the pain to simply get out of bed. On top of all this, if any of you have seen Peyton during the last couple weeks, you can read the look on his face and he looks like a man that was just told that his career was just about over.

It sucks, but I'd take every chance you can to see Peyton this year because I think this may be the end of an era.

Tiger's fork(s) were stuck in him a long time ago. I can't see him ever winning another major again. It pains me, but he just isn't Tiger anymore... just the harsh truth.

Time is on Tiger's side. Peyton's window is closing rapidly. It's shocking to think he went from one of the best 2 or 3 QB's in the NFL from 6 months ago to possibly never playing again.

It will be strange to watch highlights and him not be there.
