It may take 2-3 years, but I think Tiger will eventually get back to at least being on leaderboards if not winning tournaments. Peyton, on the other hand, I fear is almost done.
Howie Long and Michael Strahan were on Mike and Mike this morning and both emphasized that when your injuries start getting to your neck area, you can just about hang it up. For one, it's a kind of pain that will bring a 300-lb man to his knees and two, you're talking some serious consequences if you take the wrong kind of hit. Peyton may not see the contact that defensive lineman do, but he has to twist and turn on every play and if there are any of you that haven't ever had some sort of neck/back problem, I cannot begin to explain the pain to simply get out of bed. On top of all this, if any of you have seen Peyton during the last couple weeks, you can read the look on his face and he looks like a man that was just told that his career was just about over.
It sucks, but I'd take every chance you can to see Peyton this year because I think this may be the end of an era.
