Tiger Woods stepped from behind a microphone, thankful to be done with a short interview that felt like an intrusion. He took 23 questions, most of them about his golf, a few others about his left leg, then walked off without looking at anyone.

"That's why you guys listen," he muttered under his breath, "and I play."</p>
And not very well the last year or so Tiger. Not very well at all.

Much better than you could ever dream to. Which is why you're hating on a message board. Which further demonstrates Tiger's point.

Haha.

You should never criticize him? And furthermore if you do you hate him ? I think I may have you figured out.

How horrible of him! What a jerk!
People that have all the talent in the world and a drive for success that few others in the world posess should put all that aside immediately and happily sit down to get pelted with questions about why they arent doing what used to come so easily to them.

Tiger isnt a Teletubby. He isnt cute, huggily, and questionably gay because he carries some sort of purse. At this point, how is is noteworthy that he maybe wasnt enthusisatic to sit and talk to reporters about his health and play?

He's provided lots of quality entertainment ever since Elin whacked him in the head with his own golf club.

Thats why a lot of people love Phil. But, his is for his entertaining golf when he would do something stupid. Tiger, post hydrant/tree, is all about watching the impending implosion</p>

maybe the rest of the world would feel sorry for him and give the time to develope his game around his talent and not the juice.

Two Facts: 1)He hasn`t done **** since they started testing
2) If he no longer wants to be a public figure and endure the scrutiny that goes with it he should quit

Could there be any chance at all that he also hasnt done **** in the timeframe you refer to because he has been injured multiple times, went thru one of the most public divorces of the decade, and attended in-patient counseling?

Why is it he either endure the level of scrutiny that he currently has or quit? There is a middleground, yet you do not even acknowledge it.

would hinder a golf swing. Long lean muscle is needed in a sport were torque, flexibilty and club head speed thrive. Bulk muscle doesn't help. It would also kill his short game were touch and feel are most important. PED's would help in recovery and energy levels but steroids would do more harm than good for a golfer.

are completely different.

Notice how Bubba Watson isn't jacked up and sponsored by Muscle Milk, instead he has man boobs.

Dawgs61 is right. And if you think being ultra-ripped n'**** translates to distance in golf, you couldn't be more wrong.

None of what I've just written makes me think Tiger didn't at least dabble in some illegal substances that helped with recovery times, etc., because being connected to that big time sketch Canadian doctor would be too much of a coincidence.

He is averaging 294.5 yards per drive this season.
'10 was an average of 295.8
'09 was an average of 298.4

Hiscareer average is 298.2

He is a whopping3.7 yards off his average this season. And just 2 seasons ago he was OVER his average. I highlight the most recent 3seasons because it wasjust before these seasons that thebaseless(so far)rumor of his steroid use popped up.
You know whathis '08 average was?...294.3! Uh oh, thats when he was apparently using those steroids you claim made him hit the ball so far.

'03 - '07 were some longdriving years for Tiger. Guess what was around then?...he was in his 'slump'. So distance wasnt exactly making him better.

Remember when he destroyed the field at Pebble Beach and theyears aroundthe century's turn? You know, the dominantTiger that setavg scoring records and all? Yeah, he was in the mid-290s that whole time.

Steroids dont help you hit the ball better becausesteroids dont improve hand eye coordination or timing. It takes pure talent for that. Youmay get stronger, but as you can see with driving distance stats, that doesnt mean anything and Tigerpost steroidrumor is right at or even above his careeraverage for distance.

As alluded to in this thread, everyone told us there was no way steroids would help improve a batter's average, merely the power of the swing. Then all these players claimed the 'roids helped their eyesight, and improved their reaction times. No way steroids could help pitchers, though, since they don't need to be muscle-bound.....but, nope, again pitchers came forward and admitted that they wouldn't even be in the major leagues but for steroids.

So, could steroids help a golfer. Probably, but I don't know how much. If it improves your eyesight, then I guess it could help with putting and with gauging angles and distances for certain shots. Would it help a golfer's full swing? Maybe give them more power, but I doubt it could help hit the ball straighter....except maybe the extra power would mean one could swing easier and therefore be more accurate.

I don't know any of this for sure, because I've never taken steroids, I'm just suggesting that baseball players have already told us that designer PEDs can assist you in a lot of ways other than growing giant muscles.

As for Tiger, he has been one of the top players in the world since he was a teenager. He won 3 US Junior titles, and 3 US Amateur titles, and he was hitting the ball every bit as far as he does today. I doubt he was doing 'roids back then. And, while he has clearly gotten more muscular over the last decade, he doesn't have any of the outward signs of steroid use.

I do suspect he was doing something illegal with that Canadian doctor, though, probably to assist with his knee problems.
