what's the deal with Ohio State and letting a recruit talk to Tim Tebow? How is that against the rules? I saw Eli Manning at the Sad Pad on their "big" recruiting weekend are we expected to believe he didnt talk to any of them? What exactly is the rule? I really don't know. Forgive me if it's been talked about already. I just got online.

If they're former players of the school then I think they count as boosters if they try to influence where a kid goes. With tebow having no tie to OSU then probably no violation. Eli at UM could be a different story. Wanting to say deuce got UM slapped with a secondary violation doing something along that line a few years ago. Don't think it was on campus though and that may make a difference. We had Banks in on Newman's ov so it must be ok.

Back in the day Polk used Palmeiro Clark and Showalter to help in recruiting, until the ncaa cracked down on it.

Everyone does it. Everyone.

I'm sure every kid who's ever considered USM has met Brett Favre too.

Yeah I think that's some bs. I mean if you have a stand out athlete from your school then you should be proud of him and and say look what we did to help him get to where he's at and I see no problem with them talking to recruits as long as it's like when they are visiting or something like that. I wouldn't want them calling recruits all the time but on recruiting weekends it should be ok. If not then they shout look at the black bears when Eli was in town.
