I don't know the intricate in's and out's of football, thus I'm a 90%'er when it comes to football. I can admit that, thus you won't see me trying to ***** about or explain the problems that we do have on a daily basis like some here. I can say confidently that the root of our problem is that we don't have the same athletes that most of our opponents do (SEC anyway). Look at the situation that we are in. We are stuck smack in the middle of the football craziest 17'ers in the world. Alabama and auburn to the east, tenn. and arkansas to the north, and lsu to the west. And we share the state with a bunch of delusional lawyers and doctors that want to throw money around freely trying to recapture rebel glory (whatever that is).
Anyone bitching about Mullen needs to check themselves at the door. Is he perfect? No. But having to try and hide weaknesses from the teams that we have to play will make you look bad sometimes. Hell, Saban isn't perfect according to bama fans and look at what he has to work with. I'm not saying that our coaching staff is perfect by any means, but for the most part they are the same group from last year that had me telling myself that this was the best coached MSU team that I have ever seen. From a psychology stand point, it is amazing that we show up to play almost every weekend considering the league that we have to play in (and some people here want to add usm to the schedule, just to make our season a little more difficult). It is a mother17'er mentally to play the teams that we play week in and week out and we haven't laid down once that I have noticed. If you got your *** beat by Brock Lesner, John Jones, Dan Henderson, and Shogun Hua on consecutive weekends, would you be excited about fighting Junior Dos Santos next weekend? We beat the teams that we should and that is a sign of good coaching. This staff's only glaring shortcoming to this point has been recruiting and I attribute that to Mullen not really understanding this state and what he is dealing with. Hopefully we can get that fixed to a degree. It will take a little time and that time need is magnified by the league that we play in.

So for you folks that get on here and throw temper tantrums about coaching need to close your mouths and start breathing through your noses, go back to whatever nerd activity you enjoy, or quit trolling (I hope trolling is what some of you are doing).
