When you let sh*t like this go unchecked:

From their Canadian running back..
“To speak on your second question with what my relationship with Coach Gundy was before, it was also a work in progress,” Hubbard said. “Every relationship, I feel, has bumpy roads, whether it’s a good relationship or a bad relationship. Coach Gundy has done a lot of good things, so I will not just shut out a man for one thing he did. But he did do wrong and he’s going to have to make up for that.”

Screw that guy and screw Gundy for curling up in the corner.

Once you let the inmates run the show, you can pull the curtains, it's all over.

Yep. I was ready to stand behind Gundy and Oklahoma State hoping they'd be the first to stand up to this narrative in the entire country. But just like everybody else, they cave and apologize for the crime of being white.

There is no pleasing the mob.

I think the correct idiom (or metaphor, or simile, or whatever) would have been "once you let the inmates run the prison....." FIFY.

Actually, it's the asylum:

the inmates are running the asylum
The people least capable of running a group or organization are now in charge. Said
especially when the result is total chaos or calamity.

I'll take the inmates in this case rather than the Assclowns running it before.

Gundy could be saying all the politically correct tomfoolery and then once the season starts Chuba Hubba could suddenly find himself without too many carries with the football. Then the following season Gundy takes the next big time college job and flips the bird at Stoolwater.

Revenge is best when served up cold.

It’ll be interesting to watch this play out and see NFL team evaluations of him before the draft. I’m sure every team is pining for a confrontational running back.

Everyone is self righteous at 22 or whatever he is. If he has self awareness, in 2060 he’ll be wishing he could go back 40 years in time and wring the neck of himself.

Edit: BTW, spoken with ample experience. I’ve found myself lying at the bottom of a shower wishing I could either disappear or kick my own *** way more times than I care to remember.

Yeah, but in my lifetime, far more CFB players have gone to prison than to asylums.
