Tinnitus after vax

Got first shot of Pfizer a couple weeks ago, due for second on 22nd. Past week or so I’ve had non stop head splitting tinnitus in both ears. My doctor said she hasn’t heard anything about it being caused by vaccine.

Anyone here experience the same thing? Considering going to an ENT to get it checked out.

I do have a natural hearing loss on top of working in the shipyard for almost 6 years now, it’s just gotten worse. Also been out of work from knee surgery for 7 weeks now so I don’t know wether to call it vaccine, natural hearing loss, or industrial related- just timing is weird because of how bad it’s gotten.

Has your blood pressure changed any? A recent change in BP can affect tinnitus. My Dr changed my BP meds last year and made my BP drop lower than expected. This caused my Tinnitus to get worse till we got it worked out.

Yep Both ears… it doesn’t bother me until things get quiet. Like when I am trying to sleep.

I’m on losarton for hypertension, haven’t checked my BP in weeks. Naturally have a high heart rate, 90-95 while resting but have noticed it racing lately.

I tried this quick fix thing where you put your palms over your ears and use your fingers to make thuds on the soft spot on the back of your head- for 15-30 seconds at a time. Gave me a few minutes of relief but not long.

Well ****, I didn’t notice it until I read this. I’m a month past when when I was supposed to get my 2nd phizer shot. No real reason why I’ve waited, but I had read that in Israel they had found that it was effective for a longer time if you waited 6-8 weeks for the 2nd phizer shot.

If you find a cure please share it. I've had it ever since I can remember and I'm in my late 50s. I just thought it was normal for everybody when I was a kid. I can't stand silence because of it. I have to have noise, even when I'm sleeping.

If you find a cure please post up. I have had it for 8 years. I got a real bad case of vertigo and tinnitus came along with it. Went to a couple docs in the metro area and worked with a PT until the vertigo went away (took 2 months) but I never found a fix for the tinnitus and the Dr. said I will just have to live with it. I was 38 at the time and I can tell you it sucks.

I heard from a doctor one time that the tinnitus someone was experiencing was a sign of actual hearing loss. The brain knows that something should be coming through the auditory nerve and the dysfunction results in the tinnitus.

probably what you are doing with the palm—ear-tapping trick is equalizing the pressure in your ear and/or beginning to get some stubborn fluid to drain from the inner ear.

anyone with bad tinnitus needs a good audiologist visit. That will probably cure it.

ETA: I originally read the title to the OP too fast. I thought it was tinnitus after sex. I was going to suggest duct tape over the mouth and ask if you had her sisters number.

I had the Pfizer. My first hurt like a sum *****. I thought my arm was going to fall off for about 48 hours. Had chest pain too. I thought I might be meeting Jesus. It went away after 48 hours and did not have a single problem with my second dose.

I've had it since my time in the Marines myself. I never think about it until it's mentioned, like now.

If only there was a professional you could talk to... One that would consider your personal health history and help you make an informed decision. A real expert. Somebody you would trust enough to send you into open heart surgery or to get a vasectomy. Oh I know, how about that dude you let stick his finger up your ******* every so often. You must trust that guy...


If you don't have a primary care doctor, I recommend my guy Dr. Lin. Very small fingers. You don't want to go see a guy with banana hands.
