I'm just giving you my view on a subject and when I make a point you start with insults? Gez this is High school football let's just have a good time with the games this weekend.
Nothing new here buddy, get used to it. You're opinion counts only when it goes along with the majority. And don't even get into the private school/boundary debate. Better yet just delete your account and view only as a guest.

assuming they can get by with no Ag or Industrial Tech electives or electives like Intro to Clothing or Intro to Foods.
You can argue which is better and what's fair or unfair, but, I'm not going to agree with your blanket statement of higher level academic classes in this instance.
I know first hand of a kid who came from there with a 3.4 GPA and struggled to get double digits on his ACT, despite taking it numerous times, but he was a three year varsity football starter.
Never did get into college to play.

Also to go along with that the "public school" I graduated from ranked in the top 3 in the state in the academic category so way to go there. :D

When this nonsense about financial aid to athletes by Catholic schools is discussed on this board, as it is several times a year, I am reminded of a two sport athlete who had to leave Montini because he was denied financial aid for his 2nd year at Montini. That kid is a D1, B1G athlete, and he was a star athlete at Montini.
Some of the guys on this board think Catholic schools have a printing press in the basement of the schools printing out $100.00 bills.
If it was not for the generosity of people who believe in Catholic education and/or a strong alumni one of the following would occur;
(1) tuition would be $2,000.00 to $4,000.00 greater than it already is at these schools or
(2) some of these schools would close their doors.

You can disagree all you want, but don't waste your keystrokes trying to convince me that offering an "Introduction to Food" elective is no different academically than electives in Spanish IV or Psychology for example.

And I don't feel like going back and forth with you all night long, so I won't waste the keystrokes.
Sometimes it's just hard to always sit back and listen to your smug superior attitude.

I didn't say 100% but I know nobody pays 0%

Some pay $140 a month instead of 10k. Some have parents walking around youth football games bragging that an alum is covering her son's tuition. But yes very few go completely for free. All money per student is covered one way or another.

Are you referring to the school by Dick's?

To be clear, Bwm57 said nothing in regards to recruiting. It was the dude who claimed he knew what he knew because of Pop Warner who started talking smack.

And, hey, this is a MESSAGE BOARD. If you don't want to state your opinion and engage in arguments defending same, this isn't the place for you.

Corey: I was able to "like" your post only once. Otherwise I would "like" it 100 times. That crap is so old, but it still smells.

Providence (although very bad this year) has been scooping up Lincoln- Way bound players for years. You can't look past the fact that catholic teams can go out and get virtually anybody they want.

That being said there is a reason not every single team in these championships are catholic teams and that is very good coaching.
Those parochial schools have the players and those publics have the coaches. Imagine if they could ever be combined...woo hooo !!

Yeah
The same old crap. Listen do I feel the privates have an unfair advantage? Yes does it matter No. I see both sides view point I just don't see a clear cut answer. The privates say they don't have an advantage but year after year we see those same teams in the playoffs and winning state championships. It's not the coaching in most cases as many have said on this site. If it's not the coaches and they don't have a heavy enrollememt why. Recruiting that's why. The whole entire paid tuition deal is not entirely the case but it has happened, but I myself believe it is rare not the norm. I don't understand the denial by
Privates given their religious beliefs.
Seems really odd.

No only that...the publics are the beneficiaries of the benevolence of those parents through property taxes. They should shut up and be grateful for the generosity of the parents who send their kids to private institutions!
