I don't think it's close to a qb controversy right now, but I'm excited for a future with TJ over what I am with Raiola. I'd just put it that way.

Very clear he can win a championship. Generational talent like tommie Frazier. Mike Grant was good but terrific Tommie was best
Listen, Raiola and the rest of the starters knocked any fight Akron had way before Lateef stepped on the field. He'll be good when it's his time. One thing I'll say, Lateef threw for more yards in one quarter than Iowa threw in two games. Let that sink in!
LaTeef looked like the best backup we’ve had for a while. Hope he pans out and we pay to keep him. Lot of backups looked good against Akron as they should, if we are going to be any good.

No, Dylan is the clear number 1. BUT for sure I am worried that other schools will be trying to lure Lateef into the transfer portal at the end of the season. I am impressed with the staff QB recruiting, they see to be able to pick the really good talent.

He’s an Iowa tool that gets a rise over here. Honestly if I was watching my team gut another qb … again, and literally had no positive prospects in my personal life, I could resort to such shenanigans.
I'll admit that some of the regular posters on here profile as former short busers who can be easily pissed off, but who gets enjoyment out of stuff like that or has so little to do that they can spend time on such nonsense?

You want to know what really impresses me, is how many players are making plays, on both sides of the ball.
We got to see the 2nd & 3rd Strings a bit more today, and there are just so many impressive players starting to come together and make impressive plays.
Depending on how things continue to improve, well.. we could really find ourselves somewhere towards the end of the season.

I think it is really important to have depth at that position when the starter is making millions. If Dylan struggles or doesn't get better there needs to be another option..the last thing you want is a true sophomore being unapproachable because the staff will get fired if he transfers. And as great as Dylan sounds to be, it is only human nature to relax when you are already a millionaire.
One dumb *** is not enough to ignite a quarterback controversy.
