WTF are we doing giving up a 93 yard punt return? Punt coverage is the one part of our team that has been arguably as good as any in the nation. I just checked the stats and other than that return, we've given up a total of 11 return yards on 20 punts. And he wasn't even their regular return guy. Damn! Damn! Damn!

...be on him because his unit botched a field goal and gave up that return. I don't think we had our regular punt coverage unit out there. There were some slow fatasses trying to catch the guy.

We had 4-5 guys in spitting distance of each other all bunched up by the sideline. Don't know why that happened. That left half of our coverage team to protect the remaining 45 yard width of the field.

Every time we punted or kicked off, we kicked toward a sideline and LSU's return was for the opposite sideline. Even their wedge moved toward the opposite sideline. They tried to use their speed to run the width of the field, then turn the corner behind a wall.

I think a better strategy could have been for us to kick right down the middle of the field. LSU would have had less of a corner to run to and turn.

Everything worked out exactly how it was suppose to. We pinned them in the corner, inside the 10, our coverage was there. They just didn't execute and Jones did..

Two things I notice about that play. First, why is Washington 5 yards behind Jones when he fields the ball? Anticipating downing the ball at the one? Who knows. Second, Anderson gives a half assed effort to stop Jones at the end of the return. Maybe he was tired from running all over the field. But I am sick of seeing him on the field. Also, Lawerence at least tried to catch Jones. However, he needs to get more physical. Knock the hell out of the blockers if you can get to the return man. Don't just run along side him and slap fight with the guy.

I am probably being a bit nit picky but......

had his back turned the second time around and the guy just ran right behind him. Bless those folks around me in my section for the expletives I threw around after that one.

on #84 and lawrence at one point was out running the damn returner... some guys got out of the lanes because it was bouncing around... picked it up and had a great wall of blockers...

after returning to the sidelines, he looked simply exquisite (no homo) on one knee, by himself, head down, reflecting on what had just occurred. I think he shows exceptional cerebral qualities, almost gladiator-like.

had Washington not over run the play it would have been stopped on the 10. I really think that he did not think the receiver was going to catch it and was going to down the ball. Had he laid back it would not have been a TD.</p>

Not good video quality. Did our gunner get blocked in the back?

about a coach calling a play which was absolutely wide open. A lob, which I understand was the correct type of pass, instead of the typical throw which was thrown and we score.

Bitching about the play calling is insane.

not the play calling itself. But every one of us ought to be bitching about one or the other.

15 times during the game, I can say with certainty that our gunner was blocked in the back.
