Tolwes was just awful. Worst accuracy of any QB I've ever seen at Uk. Baker has it but he can't do anything with zero blocking and coaching. Dumb post.

You obviously know jack **** about football. If Towles is so terrible then why are NFL scouts interested in him?

Towles was mentioned the summer before last bc of potential and his size. Then he kindly went out and looked awful for 12 games, trasfered to BC and has never even been brought up as NFL future since then. I mean, be realistic.

Yeah I'm sure you know more about him than I do

I wasn't a Towles hater. I liked the guy but Drew Barker has very limited experience. I'm going to give him some time.

Anybody that can defend Barker's play after that half is delusional. Patrick Towles' best game is way better than anything Drew has ever shown.

Who's defending his play? No one should be. But Barker playing like crap doesn't mean Towles was great. Towles was also a very bad QB.

Neither would have been, or will be All American's, but has it occurred to anyone that they both are decent QB's who had/have, for the most part, MAC level or lower level teammates and horrid coaches?
Honestly, U.K doesn't deserve to play football in the SEC if we can't do any better than this, year after year.

It's not even that Drew is bad (which he has been miserable). Do you want to win now? Then you need Towles. This would have been the best O-line he ever had. He stood no chance last year and you all got mad when he couldn't make plays. The irrationality of our fan base just kills me sometimes.

Im not sure Towels would be any better right now. Starting to look like the system and not the player at qb is the issue...

ITS not going to make any difference who we have at the QB, RB, WR, we are getting our asses handed to us on the LINE on both sides of the ball.....when or if this is ever fixed we might start winning a few games.

What Towles DID do- went to the Swamp two years ago, with a comparable amount of experience that Barker has now. Threw for three TDs and 300 yards, more or less. Nearly came out with a victory. Would have probably done so, but for a missed delay of game call. Now, he had many downs after that, and I'm not ready to say that Barker sucks, but it's probably not a good sign to compare their two redshirt soph games in the Swamp.

This coaching staff has done .NOTHING,ZERO, to develop players, these two for certain. There is no rocket science behind Petrino success with offense. He knows how to develop Quarterbacks

Towles will play in the NFL because he was sharp enough to get out of what has become a graveyard for QBs.

For the record I'm not saying that this is Barker's fault. He did play miserably but it's like his third start. What do you expect? I'm more so speaking to the people who wanted to put all of the woes of last year's team on Pat. What do you want to do now? Bench Barker?

The reason our team is perpetually terrible is that the fan base is perpetually impatient and every year has to find somebody to blame. Sometimes there is nobody to blame. Sometimes you just don't have it. It takes a team. It takes time to build a complete team. Our O-line has the talent but needs time. Drew Barker has shown he has the arm but he needs time to grow and develops poise. Our defensive line has lost three people that should be key pieces in the last couple of years but that doesn't matter to anybody.

Stoops has not done himself any favors but the fan base hasn't helped at all. We can fire him I guess, but then we're starting over again in the same damn cycle. The only way we'll get better is to stick with a coach for a while. More than 3-4 years.
