To anyone who is posting "7-2" like it's a foregone conclusion...

Kentucky is a damn good team. In case you didn't know, they beat South Carolina this weekend, who just knocked off the team people thought was unbeatable. Kentucky could beat anybody in the SEC right now. We will be doing very good to win that game.
The good thing is that they haven't looked very good on the road.

if we come out this weekend like we did against Alcorn, UAB will whip our ***. I admit to dreaming about what bowl we will go to, but we sure have some folks getting ahead of themselves on here.

its starting to set in on my brain that Crxxm aint calling the shots around here anymore. I'll admit that I am just waiting for something bad to happen after a great weekend on and off the field.... but its really starting to set it that Mullen will have us ready to play no matter the opponent. Let's just hope we can handle some success and keep beating the teams we are supposed to beat.

They looked like crap against Florida, but I believe they have an Ole Miss-Alabama, MSU-LSU type complex about both Florida and Tennessee. Even when they are good enough they still can't mentally get over it.

Locke, Hartline, and especially Cobb are all dangerous weapons. They can definitely score points. Their defense is somewhat suspect, though they did manage to shut out South Carolina in the 2nd half this week.

Match up wise, your offense should match up well with them. They don't stop the run very well, and running well is really about all your offense does. I could see that game turning into a shoot out.

they are 11th in the SEC in scoring D and 11th in rush D- not exactly a good recipe for beating us

We will be ready to play

They have been very competitive at home but not shown too much on the road other than that opening win against Louisville.

and kept Florida in single digits at home. I feel pretty good about the Kentcuky game. We matchup well against them.

That Carolina win for them was more about Lattimore going out of the game and Spurrier trying to pretend he's Les Miles by going for the end zone instead of going ahead and kicking the damn field goal. Carolina also had a 3 touchdown lead and blew it.

The way some of you nutjobs talk you would think that somehow the chatter on a message board will affect how our teams plays. This is a message board. People will (and should) talk however they want. Get a freakin life. </p>

Yes, we are playing great right now. Some of the best football I can remember for a longggggg time, but I'll be very relieved once we get UAB/UK behind us. I don't know if anybody caught the UAB/Tennessee game, but UAB is a good football team. And you're an idiot if you think UK can't step up and beat anybody.

If the UM Black Bears can hang with Alabama, we can whip their ***. I say 10-2 and if Bammer can knock off LSU and Auburn, we're going to Atlanta.

Great thing is, we fans don't have to just concentrate on the next game. Hell, I say we're going to contend for the Conference title in 2011, with an outside shot at NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP NUMBER 3 after our back-to-back NC's in 1940-41.

But UAB is not just an awful team. They beat a decent Troy team earlier in the year. The point I'm trying to make is, the next two games aren't a lock. As long as we play like we can, we SHOULD win, but that's where MSU has fallen sooooo many times in the past. <div>
</div><div>It is nice for those who stick through the thick and the thin, and the thin and the thinner, to get a few solid wins.</div>

i agree we need to be cautious and yes, kentucky has a great offense BUT we held auburn to 17 points and we a dropped pass or two OR a dropped pick 6 at the 2. We were that close to beating superman and the tigers

Keep Randall Cobb off the field for as long as you possibly can, and you come away with a win.<div>This formidable opponent has their sole conference win due to an epic collapse/Spurrier brain fart in a textbook "letdown" game.</div>

My prediction is back on! Now that we beat Florida it cancels out the loss to Auburn. 9-3 baby! Lose to Bama and then run the table!
