Living a free society it's really hard to grasp the
concept of freedom. When you compare "free"
societies to autocratic ones it's easy to see
how easy the later is. Rule with an iron fist and
put down all dissent quickly and ruthlessly.
The only reason I pegged your handle was
your Lincoln quote. He's revered, and I will say
for a lot, rightfully so. But that man destroyed
our constitution in so many ways it's astounding.
Do I think he did it with good intentions and the
country's best interests at heart? Absolutely. But
it still begs the question of liberty and the stomach
to abide by it. I'm of more conservative/libertarian
thought. I don't hate government. To do so is counter
productive and generally just stupid. But what's happening
to our society today is a travesty. It would probably
make Abe blush. My question for everyone is this: does
