are putting up decent batting number's this year? Just curious if there is any hope for next year with our bats since we lose Powers, who probably account for about 25% of our offense.

Cohen recruited pitchers this past year, he's recruiting defense and offense for the coming year. I'm not sure our fans understand what Cohen has to work with this year. When he took the job he told a group (in private) he was shocked at the belowtalent level that Polk had signed. He said before the first pitch that was ever thrown in year one it was gonna take 2 or 3 years to see a SEC team on the field at the Dudy. Another thing that I don't get is why folks ***** about Cohen's competitive spirit, he doesn't have the personality as a RP, laid back and take it as it is, he wasn't that type of player at Msu either. Cohen is gonna win at Msu, it may not be next year either as we will have freshmen and soph playing key roles, but one thing is for certain, help is on the way with some defense and much better hitters.
Lastly, it's gonna be real tough to make the SEC tourney, but we have some games coming up that we will be able to compete with (except Lsu), it may not look good but if you watch our team play they play till the last out and thats a good sign as Cohen ain't gonna give up and take his bats and balls home.
