Under Mullen, we don't fall under the REPEAT OFFENDERS clause. That is the A#1 reason that this is NOT a big deal. IF we get caught for something else next year, while currently on probation, THEN you can compare the situations. Until then, Shut The 17 UP, and quit being stupid. The situations are NOT comparable.

It was the second time in recent years the Mississippi State football program has been sanctioned by the NCAA. Mississippi State is considered a repeat offender because the school also lost 13 scholarships after an investigation in 1996.
"Of additional concern to the committee was that both the 1996 case and this case involved the football program and a coaching staff that should have been extra attentive to the heightened consequence a repeat violator faces if it is involved in major violations," the committee said in the statement.
