The kid comes to half our games. Tells Hud and Mullen he's coming to State. We sign Dak Prescott. We ***** slap Michigan in a NYD bowl. OM has no proven QB on its roster. And then in the dead period he changes his mind.

I'm assumed maybe NB wasn't going to announce because TS was going to MSU and wanted to rethink it. Now I'm totally confused. I know its been said but I too hate recruiting.
I don't think anybody will understand, but why would he go to UM? No constant at QB, and actually for once, we do have depth in QB. Why would he go to a program where things aren't looking up, over a program that couldn't be better at the moment. Stacked with talent, just signed a coach to a contract which seems to be to the end of his career, and if Nutt doesn't have a good season next year, and he gets blown out by us, I saw he's good as gone. <div>

so we can stay home and recruit. Apparently everything went downhill with these guys while we were focusing on getting ready and going to the bowl game. Heck, with OM sitting at home apparently they were working overtime in recruiting.
That is the most piss poor excuse i've ever heard. There are SEVENTY teams that go bowling every year. 10 other SEC programs outduel us every year in recruiting. If your excuse is valid, how did we not end up with the best recruiting class in the SEC last year? We had plenty of time to cherry pick recruits from all the programs that were "concentrating on bowl games".
that bowl exposure would be a positive. However, everyone knows that Mississippi recruiting especially with some desparate Bears is a horse of a different color and it continues to amaze what can get accomplished during a dead period.
