Today is the day when some grown men pin all their hopes and expectations

on some 18 year old kids who they've never met before and likely never will. Odds are that a lot of them will never play a meaningful down of football at WVU. Many will likely leave before their 4 years are up because they flunk out, get arrested, fail a drug test or "violate team rules". I continue to be amused at the ridiculousness of national signing day all over the country. Here in Knoxville, it has almost become a state holiday. It's kind of sad, really.

Whats the matter? Still bitter over the lack of fan fare when you committed to play golf?

I celebrated it man. Just know that.

I agree. I do enjoy seeing where kids go but i am by no means a recruiting guru at all.

I appreciate that although I doubt you were even born then. But I was actually a walk-on and earned a scholarship after my first year. I'll never forget our coach, John Seamon, telling me in the Pines CC parking lot. A very happy day for me.

This whole recruiting nonsense is really getting out of hand. ESPN is getting to be un-watchable. I wonder when they will start assigning stars to jr high players.

This may not be a popular opinion but when did I care about that? lol

Michigan is kicking OSU's butt with their recruiting class and I'm loving it. Yes, I hated Michigan when the Product went there but I like Jim Harbaugh. He may rub some the wrong way but he is my kind of football coach. And I can't stand anything about OSU and would like to see them suffer.
