From what started as a joke website to what it has become today - it's still a place to discuss sports and a few other odds and ends. I personally want to say thank you to each of you that have read and participated here. And don't think it's not lost that Margaret Thatcher passed today. Brutius - I expect a post from you in her honor.

It's simple. This is a message board. It's all it ever will be. We all provide the content and subsequent discussion.

So here's to 10 more years of a place to talk all things MSU, SEC, and whatever else in the wide world of sports...and a some side boobs along the way.

It is a great distraction from every day life DS. The amount of traffic this place gets is really crazy sometimes. Thanks for keeping SPS running so smoothly.

Plus it is interesting to have a random moment where you meet an SPS poster and talk in message board lingo awkwardly.

Thanks for keeping this going DS. Oddly, often times the only sanity

I get comes from this board. FML

Thanks to whomever that was who PMd me on Genes Page lo these many years ago. For 10 years SPS has basically been my source for MSU discussion on games, recruiting and coaching. Lots and lots of coaching. Thanks to DS and the other five for the idea, and to HD6 for basically being a part of that too. Kudos and bravo my internet friends.

Asked me if I had ever heard of sixpack....said no. dont know how i remember that, but i did. he said he was frequent here. couldnt remember his name if my life depended on it.

By far the best MSU message board. All others pale in comparison. Here,

the truth can be told w/o all the sugar coated b.s.

Thank you DS for letting me stick around these parts. In the last 10 years I've probably visited this site more than google or ESPN. That's unreal if you think about it.

Also on this date in sports history

1893 - First college basketball game, Geneva College beat New Brighton YMCA 3-0

1969 - First MLB game in Canada, Expos beat Mets 10-9

1974 - Hank Aaron passes Babe Ruth with homerun #715

1994 - Kent Mercker throws Atlanta's last no hitter, vs. LA Dodgers

And not sports related, but it's Rex Manning day!

It shirley can't be a coincidence. From Trent Lott to The Iron Lady, Sixpack Speak has been influencing world events since 2003.

Thank HD6 b/c in it's infancy - I was ready to shut this down with the threat of lawsuits and such by other MSU fans.
