I sure hope so, i felt confident all week and prior but this weather has me a bit worried. Its going to be running game and run defense that pulls this game today. Man i hope we come out firing on all 10 cylinders.

I swear I don't wake up thinking to myself "I'm going to be a wet blanket today"...but seriously, the best we can hope for today is an upset win to get to .500. What kind of statement can that possibly make? That we're a .500 team? Cue the celebration.

Just beat the snot out of Iowa and ruin their season and get us back to .500, I'll be happy with that. Sort of.

I hear what you're saying, but I think the statement is we beat two undefeated top 10 teams in our last three games and are poised to slingshot into next season with high expectations.

But you're right, 6-6...

If we close out the season with 4 straight wins, two over top ten teams, I think we could be ranked pre-season next year but even if we aren't the HC can sell momentum.

Two top ten teams in three games. Ruin little brothers dreams and most importantly finish the season moving in the right direction for 2016 and the bowl game. Guaranteed more practices and we are in on a lot of high level recruits that will fit perfectly into what the system will be when fully implemented

Two big thumbs up here.

3-0 is a positive statement. However, I think 12-0 is a better story.

I just hope the oline is focused and ready, with the weather i think Cross and Jano (ad in Newby) will make or break this game. The weather may take away one advantage we had with big play passing, or MAYBE it will help it?

I think you need to look at the bigger picture, not just the record. Yes we are at best a 6-6 team, but expecting a ton more than that this year was just not logical. Coaching changes almost always cause the team to take a hit. Especially since Bo left nothing here for depth. I will admit the Purdue loss was a tough one to swallow and had me very very concerned. If we would have lost out after that game and ended the season with a 3 win season and no bowl. I would have said Riley needs to go, no excuses.
This team had TONS of mental issues regarding Bo admitted or not. It deeply affected their play. Before the MIch St game the players sat down ( not sure which one exactly or how many) and basically agreed to go all in with Riley and play the rest of the season giving it their all. The results the last 2 weeks show the results of that. A win against a good Mich st team and a win against Rutgers. They look like a different team, they look to be playing as a team, playing with heart and fire that wasn't their all year. Do they look like a top 25 team, no. They still have many things they need to work on.
While a 6-6 team doesn't look good in the now it looks a heck of a lot better than 3-9. A 6-6 teams has potential to get things turned around especially year 1 of new coach. A 3-9 team is throw in the towel time. There is hope.

Can't change the past. I know it sucks that we lost 6 games this year but there is a lot to play for. For example, look at Miami back in 1999 I believe. They upset a UCLA team that was ranked #2 at the time and that win catapulted the Canes to begin their great dynasty.

A win today can definitely set us up with confidence heading into next year.
