SIAP but did they announce attendance for today's game? Also what would be your guess for next weeks game.
I think they only way to send a message and get MB attention is for no one to show up and force his hand at making changes.

Mitch is saying 45-50,000 people..honest Mitch never told a lie and I don't think he's about to start now. He bends his morals for no one. He struggles to accept the $20,000 a week he makes to lead this juggernaut of a program.

Just by watching on tv I was guessing around 30k.

Think it will be more or less for SC? And at what point do you think Mitch starts paying attention and starts to worry.

If the people of Lexington continue to show up for this nonsense then they deserve the "hillbilly" stereotype they get. Necks with nothing else to do.

I'm sorry but this is nonsense. If you continue to go to UK football games right now you aren't a fan of UK, you're a fan of Mitch Barnhart.

That's stupid, why would I purchase tickets and then not use them. I'll tell you what I'll do, prove to me that you have tickets to every game and give them to me, and I won't go either. I'll wait to hear from you.

There will be a good crowd there next week including myself. The Gamecocks have just as much trouble scoring as we do playing defense. should be a good game. I'm just wondering who our starting qb is.

South Carolina is going to destroy this team in front of 10k.

Coulda had Petrino.

I wasn't forecasting the future, but we had at least three emerging stars in this game, Steve looked very good in his first real shot at QB, Conrad showed what a star he can be, and Snell was simply amazing. Then the rest of our offense also performed very well, 62 points not a bad day at the office. Then Boom had his normal sterling performance, but I may hve been most impressed with him sticking his nose in there and getting the tackle on Barker's interception, not a prima donna., And how many passes did Timmons drop? The offense played great the whole game once they got started and they did it under a lot of pressure.

Snell looked like the real deal, big, fast, moves, and what an attitude, amazing game for a true freshman. I think he has the tools and attitude to play against anyone.
.

I don't claim to be able to predict how they will do next week, the D did look terrible, but I doubt if you can predict the future any better than I can, lots of fans thought we would have to outscore the opponent to win any games this year, and the first half of the first game and this game makes it seem at least possible.

As far as the skuzball goes he is a perfect fit at UL with Tricky Ricky and jurich's motley crew, too bad the NCAA ran hurtt off, even though they were too incompetent to do a real investigation, where the house of Cards would have all fallen down------still a big possibility.

And NO, we couldn't have had BP when we had an opening, WKU was one of probably a VERY few that would have hired him when he was available. It was ridiculous for jurich to throw all that money at him even a year later, who was he bidding against, and there were several other openings at the time.

Hey, it would only be a short trip to follow your hero...

There will be a better crowd than today, I was there today, and the crowd was announced at 49,000 plus, but actually there were 37,000 or so actually there.
If anyone but Stephen Johnson is the starting QB, I will turn off the game immediately !

I was there too and I think you are being generous saying 37,000. Lots of emptiness everywhere in the stadium, especially in upper deck and the student section was more empty than filled (but our students suck these days anyway and are never much of a factor). I'm guessing our play plus the weather was a bad combination for folks to show up yesterday. I'll guess and say there will be more for South Carolina unless we have a torrential downpour in the forecast for next Saturday.

It was against a terrible, terrible team. I like the potential of the guys you mentioned, but we'll be lucky to have 200 total yards in conference play. Just no way to count this game as an accomplishment IMO.

Assuming the weather is fine, I expect a crowd of around 42,000 since it is an SEC game. UK fans have always been a glutton for punishment. [winking]

Yep, agree with you on being a glutton for punishment and I'll be one of them. Long range forecast right now is for a very sunny Saturday with temps around 86 and should be a beautiful evening for the game. We'll see how many others torture themselves like me.

weather permitting, SC game should pull a reasonable crowd.

Conference opponent following a win.

It doesn't take much for UK fans to come back and start hoping things will be different.

My group chapter of 26 ditched our tickets this year (6 kept them actually )We aren't from Lexington we travel to the games. I'm more than happy to lose out on the cash to support uk football and do my part to express my discontent. My post was out of anger. I'm sick of supporting uks administration for nothing in return.

We will not be renewing our tickets.

People have as much right to go as they do to protest by not going. I respect people choice either way. As for me, I have vowed to only go as a social event (with friends) until we either win 8 games or fire Barnhart. They get no more money for me exclusively for football until either happens.

I understand the renewal thing and i do agree that before this year very little was thrown toward the football program. I hope Stoops succeeds but if not the administration has got to get serious about the football hires. No more almost retired coaches, nor assistants with no HC experience, or D II or lower coaches, or bargain coaches, or shady coaches with baggage, we need a winning HC and we need to bring the bucks.

Attendance was in the low 30's at best...probably not even that. There will be a good crowd for USC as the fans hope for a turn-around. However, if they lose, no matter how close the game is, attendance won't top 35K for any of the remaining games. For many fans, expectation was going bowling. If we lose to USC, all is lost.

I was there. My wife and I actually spent a lot of time roughly counting the sections and tallying the attendance . Believe me it was less than thirty . We figured about between twenty two and twenty five thousand at most . It may very well be the paid attendance plus the freebies combined was in the forties but the place was disgracefully empty and Barnhart should be in crisis mode.

I was at the game yesterday, and when it was over, I BELIEVE UK won, so why wouldn't I support them after a WIN. I don't give a **** where it was pretty or not. A WIN IS A WIN, and I'm happy for the team, and the fans that showed up, even in the rain. Some of you will never be happy, win or lose!

I didn't use my tickets last week and didn't sell them or give them away considering this team isn't worth watching and I'm a part of whatever strike needs to happen. I support the team. I DO NOT support the guys who make millions upon millions just to suck. IMO every dollar stoops make is stolen money for conning a clueless moron like Barny to buy into his graphs and charts of how to build a loser. Stoops basically went calling a child, said I'll give you candy if you hop in the van with me. The child got excited then stoops continued to plow said moron in the back of his van. Over and over again, every autumn Saturday since they've met. Stoops is a smart man, he knew exactly which AD to go to with pictures, graph's and charts in order to have millions thrown at him for NO REASON, he knew the man was dumb enough to throw millions at him from the very beginning. That's why HE made himself a candidate for the job. Not the other way around. And has been throwing out corny slogans ever since. And.... Well. The rest is history from there. I'll do anything that I can do to protest against this administration. I will not stop doing whatever I can in my power until Barny is fired and stoops is unemployed or at least gone from here. I'll always support the players. But I'm done and have been done supporting stoops and Barny for some time now. They must be let go.

If I had enough money I'd buy every ticket for every game every week and set fire to every single mfin ticket.

Not sure how UK came up with the 40k + number but it had to be accurately around 30-35k ...maybe that's generous...so much emptiness in every section all over the stadium.

If weather good next week then I think they'll be about 55k. Better opponent and we should win.

As for the comment on students, I think they generally do a good job, but like the rest of the fan base they find better things to do when the product stinks. They showed up early and often last year for all the games thru mid October.
