Todd, help me with the roster math on this....

8 seniors
9 juniors
6 sophs (I think Brownlee and Pace are the only draft eligible sophs unless someone fits the age qualification)
11 frosh

17 signees in fall
3 signees ( I have heard/read 2, 3 or 4 from Murray, Cohen, and Swindoll)
? invited "walk-ons"

Who's are losers in the numbers game?

Cohen will have to cut a bunch of people and a lot of those people cut will be people he recruited

to make the numbers work. BUt that's college baseball. It will just be disappointing if guys he recruited are runoff b/c it means he missed.

we would have 43 on our roster returning guys + signees. We'll see who else comes on board. I suspect it could be something like 40 guys or so- maybe upwards of 45 when the fall starts. Some will leave over the summer. The only one I have really heard a rumor about leaving that seems legit is Rawdow.

The only walk-on that we have that I am aware of is Brayden Jones from Madison Central, and then I have heard rumors about someone from Wayne County walking on, but I have not heard a name.

I suspect it will be like last year- everyone will get a shot, and we likely won't cut anyone up until the last moment like we did with Jordan Faulkner. The numbers will work themselves out for the most part.

And Brasky is correct- some if not most of the guys that will be cut will be his guys. Mainly because Polk's guys will almost all be gone.

that is possible. I think the freshmen will be safe. Some of the JUCO guys like Corey Collins could be in danger.


I think some of the guys that are hurt like Paxton Pace could be in trouble, to. I suspect Bussey- a Cohen recruit will not be back. But we'll see. Like I said, we will wait as long as possible before anyone actually gets cut. Most of those that got cut last year, cut themselves.
