I am impressed with his toughness. He got hit in the throat with a ball and waved the trainer off and he had was ill during the tournament.
I think he is a DH type. Not very fast, and he bounced a few throws down to second. Granted, I didn't see him at 100%.
Right now our class appears to be done unless we can find someone else like Nick Flair a year ago- and Cohen and his staff are really good about finding guys like that late. I like the CF from Canada- Jacob Robson. I think he will replace CT as a leadoff hitter, and he can run. Daniel Garner is probably going to be drafted and will replace Slauter in a couple of years. He has some pretty good power, and his POP time was 1.9 at the National Power Showcase.
I think John Marc Shelly will be drafted and he will help out our bullpen. He throws in the low 90's and has been talking to the Astros.
Alex Detz is the JUCO second baseman from California- and I think he will start for us next year. At worst, he will compete with Britton. Not much power, but I think he can hit .275-.300 and play solid defense and steal a few bases.
Jacob Shempert is the only one that I am worried about because of his grades. He is a pure hitter that has a nice left handed swing. Doesn't really have a position, though. If he doesn't make it, he will go to Meridian. I think he is a DH/OF type. He's a dirtbag type player.
