Either you are much less intelligent than I have you credit for, or you're just getting better and better at being a worthless troll.

This is your default position boomboom521 when you either get trapped by your own words or you don't like how they sound when read back to you.

Childish name calling.

Are you raising your kids or are they babysitting you my friend?

I'm sure you won't understand this....but it wasn't childish name calling....either you are too stupid to understand sarcasm or you're a worthless troll. Either way....best for me AND the rest of the board if I put you back on ignore.

Peace ATL. Keep preaching brother, good luck!

You know that was a question, right? I was questioning what you said.

OK, so now I'm quoting what you claim is your "standard" based on your self described "fabric of society" being the moral standard you look at to define your morality.

I don't have a problem with your definition, because that's exactly what moral relativism is boomer. In fact it is the classic definition of it.

So in my earlier example of our two "inner voices" talking to each of us living under your marvelously diverse "societal fabric" I think all White people are Evil and you think all Christians are stupid (present company included I'd presume)

Given your tolerance for acceptance of whatever morality one chooses to set for themselves how do you "feel" knowing I'm OK thinking you are Evil? In fact the personification of it!

Is that OK with you boom boom?

I'm putting your definitions of morality into practice my good Man.

Like the way it works?

Does that shoe fit?

That's fine...I wouldn't like listening to me either if I were you boom.

I understand what you're saying ... but the variation in application of those beliefs does reflect a variation in the moral code of the people practicing the religion. Even if the words in the book have never changed. The book is just a book, it's the people that make the religion and it's the action of those people that define the overall moral code being followed by the religion.

"Your actions speak so loudly that I can't hear a word you say"

Look at the "moral code" between southern baptists, methodists and catholics. All tolerate some actions while being intolerant of others, while practicing the same overarching religion of "Christianity"
Christians generally share the same metanarritive.

True, but things like whether drinking is tolerated or not ... whether clergy can get married, etc. are all part of that "moral code" that varies slightly between the different denominations. Maybe you'd rather refer to those things as the dogma instead of moral code, and if that's the case then I won't argue.

In the end, Christian, Atheist, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim ... whatever ... it comes down to what you do instead of what you say you believe. The argument that you have to have a religion to have a moral code is ludicrous in my mind.

I pretty much agree. Everyone has a moral could. Some have a "me first" code. And I agree. Your true code is what you live, not what you say.

I think religion is the problem. I think relationship is the solution.

Or.......it could be the fact that Hannity invited a woman, who is NOT HIS WIFE, up to his hotel room. Ok, maybe not sexual harassment......but immoral?
And maybe, just maybe, it never happened at all. Remember, for those on the left, it is not the fact that is of importance but the accusation itself. Facts, substantiation, truth , etc. are unnecessary and are not considered when promoting the story.

Nope it was Hillary Truth be told. She was the one (her 2008 campaign) who first brought all of that nonsense up.

So you are saying that since your belief that Hillary "started" the birther claims, that the right-wing crowd that STILL make those insane comments aren't carrying it on???? [laughing][laughing][laughing]

I think the whole thing was silly and I've said so. Who cares where he came from?

We all know he was a Left Wing Socialist...that's what mattered to me his ideology, not whatever Leftist growing nursery he was plucked out of.
