Tom Bradley is available again. Would be an excellent hire.
Bro, do you think the vast majority of recruits/players are conservative? You gotta separate politics as much as you can, which Neal has even said by identifying the political turmoil is at all-time highs. If 95% of your players find a cause they want to support, you find a way to be supportive, even if you disagree with them. YOu can introduce divisive topics within the team, no matter how strongly you feel about it. Also, what data supports your decision these assistants are not good? Because they didnt have some well established name? When programs hire simply off of popularity it usually doesnt work out, an history is one large justification. One of the most improved teams last year on both sides of the ball. Highest average player rating in history in 2021, and 2022 is shaping up to be one of the top classes in WVU history, which is accomplished in his 3rd class. Its to early in the process of building a program to analyze quality either way. When Brown & Staff walk out on the field and every player suited up is a player this staff recruited, thats when we can analyze staff quality. Until then, give them a little elbow room to work and do their damn job. It takes time to implement the level of change that was required here. Brown inherited one of the worst WVU rosters in the last 20 years, that is an indisputable fact. Frankly, it was a freaking miracle Brown was able to squeeze 11 wins the past two years. Just like a coaching staff can underperform relative to roster talent & experience, likewise they can also outperform. They are outperforming, when you look at all the data points, its easy to identify. That said, applicable quality analysis to be applied when all players are Brown's recruits. Then we can bicker over schemes, play calls, or couch coaches who know more then those who work tirelessly at their professional perfectionism.
