Would be spinning in his grave if he had to watch what has become of his life’s work. It is a travesty.

Tom Osborne? If he had his way Frost would still be here. People have to move on and understand that it’s a completely different world, and his opinions aren’t gospel.

I admire TO. I am proud that TO was our head Coach and Proud of A LOT of what he did as Head Coach here.

TO did have a hand in our decline here since he stepped down. Naming FS as his successor really.
I think if you took a poll, most would agree that Frank deserved that extra year. He was saddled with a bunch of over the hill coaches who should’ve went out when TO did. He was the natural choice and anyone who disagreed at the time is a liar

FS did have success early on but after TO’s recruits were gone we lost and lost big. Maybe it was so long ago you forgot.

TO never should have mandated that FS be his successor. I can’t help but think the last 20 years would have been different if this never happened.

Sory bud, Osborne had no clue that Frankie was gonna go away from everything Devaney and he had built as Solich went away from tride and true as well as the culture and he became a very lazy recruiter. When Osborne's last recruiting class all graduated which mean't elite recruit's Solich **** all over himself. The slide started with both Stevie P and him. Stevie tried to remold the program in his own image. Solich was very much disliked by the Big 3 stawarts of Osborne's staff that came over to Solich's as they couldn't stand him. Those 3 would be McBride, Uncle Milty and George Darlington. McBride retired after the 99 season because he couldn't stand Frankie, and the last 2 the way he treated Milt and Darlington with total disrespect. Because of Tenopir's health, Solich gave him an ultimatum either he resign or he would terminate his employment. With Darlington, Frankie fired him in a very humiliatingly way. Fk Solich and Stevie P. I have no clue as to why we continue to honor that DB.

Good on Tom! I don’t have the sense to turn off. I am making strides because when we lost I would break stuff. Now I just laugh and shake my head
The team has a losing mentality that they can’t shake, and I share it because I expect them to lose most games.

Cold Reality…we need to pony up money to buy talent. We are playing with mostly C to C+ players (and these aren’t the C players that over achieve). We aren’t getting out of this hole until we get some real talent here

Sadly, you’re right. But even more sadly, we don’t have the coaching talent either. We don’t have the Jimmies and Joes nor the Xs and Os

Exactly. And Tom wouldn’t be Tom if Barry didn’t retire. Well known Tom owes Barry a lot for how he went from being fired to a local hero in Neb.

I disagree. Assistants can be replaced. I think DH immediately is a better OC/Playcaller than Satterfield.

I think he’s an upgrade yeah. That wasn’t a very high bar. Not sure he’s anywhere close to what it would take to be championship level. He may just be C level a replaced D- level. Not to mention special teams. And wide receiver. And O line. Hell head coach while we’re at it. Our coaching staff feels very C level to me.

The offense looked more fluid tonight but we have to be better in the redzone. Overall I was fairly happy with what Dana did in such a small window with no familiarity with our players and playbook. The problem obviously is the upcoming competition. Wisconsin’s D is giving Gabriel fits.

Yeah I don't see going outside the program to hire a coach when that program is at the pinnacle of the sport at the time and has a coach ready to take over. Solich had a tough job really because he had to inherit the entire program intact and that included all the coaches. I did think it was time to replace him by the end of 2003 because the program had steadily declined in 6 years while OU, Texas, and now KSU were taking over. His coaching hires were subpar except Pelini as a DC and the recruiting was pretty poor considering it was still a top program at the time.
I honestly felt the animosity Osborne had toward Callahan was a problem. Callahan could have fired Cosgrove and probably would have if given an opportunity. Osborne's coaching search after firing Callahan was a joke since he never intended to hire anyone but Pelini and as we all know Pelini looked great with Callahan's recruits, but only average with his own. And his mouth and brother were causing problems as well.

Sorry, but that is not what he is preaching. He will be doing very little changing of the roster

Then expect more of the same. Lack of talent in the defensive backfield and LB is obvious. Gonna lose a couple anchors up front also.

Outside of a couple edge guys they better hope like hell they overhaul the roster.

Do we even wanna mention the so called "studs" at WR we brought in? Smh I now wish they had redshirted Lloyd as well the way they trot these big robots out there who can't beat any kinda man coverage.

I’d like to think that, then I look at every other coach that the university has hired since…

When I look at what we typically get in the portal, I'm not all that excited about overhauling the roster. Usually it's just a hodgepodge of underachievers, damaged goods with some true difference makers mixed in. I say that we let the pups have their day. Some of these changes should happen immediately. I've seen enough of the tall midget Hartzog. We all know that the Benning kid can play as well as he can right now.

My take on transfers is to identify the biggest areas of need and bring in studs only, or forget it. We've got to find a 330 pound lineman in the portal. A stud WR would be another one. And let's tell Neyor thank you and send him down the road. If he wants to stay on for another year, move him to third string and lower his NIL to $20 a week and some Runza coupons.

No, I went to the Missouri game fs’s last year when Brad Smith just ran over our DB’s. And if I recall correctly our holder knocked out some ******* Missouri fan. I can’t remember if we were 10 and three or nine and three that year. But we didn’t suck like this. I think it’s more accurate to say that Steve Perfecthair was the beginning of the end.

Don’t give him the Runza coupons if you want him to move on. Those are tasty!
