If he is, if he still has it, fine. I like the guy as a coach, I really do. But, if he doesn't have the fire we would really be messing up by hiring him.

I'm just dumbfounded at all the State fans, without any thought whatsoever, wanting him here ASAP. The guy just went 5-7 at Auburn and had a worse offense than Sly Croom. Regardless of what happened with his OC, that should at least force a pause and cause a little concern. Perhaps I am going overboard, but it just seems to me like this isn't quite the slam dunk some are making it out to be. It could be a great hire, or we could be getting a guy on the back end of his career.

...one to consider, but I think the potential upside and his record in our division makes it a slamdunk. In other words, in my mind, Tuberville has the least amount of risk and the most amount of upside as any remaining candidate. To me, there is a much greater risk that Todd Graham or some OC/DC fails as a head coach in the SEC than there is that Tuberville has burnout.

He just made a bad hire. The fact that he canned him midseason lets you know that he was not content just to suck. He did all he could with what he had.

Al Del Greco reported it this morning. he covers AU sports over there. However, nothing has been finalized at least not publicly. They are still behind closed doors. What they are meeting about i don't know. I'm wondering if it has something to do with buyout and other schools.</p>
