Why would he leave Cincy for Rutgers? Cincy is in a better position (win/lose & admin/booster support) than Rutgers right now. Besides, Rutgers would have to pay him $3 million + to leave Cincy plus the buyout.

Not the worst suggestion in the world but I doubt he would leave. On top of that, I would question his age (61) and his connections to the area.

To me, Tuberville would be an outstanding choice, but one that is currently beyond my hopes.

We have to pay-up now to right the program. An opportunity to coach in the B1G surrounded by a very fertile recruiting base in front of the media capital of the world has to be sold to land a high-caliber head coach.

Didn't Tuberville go to Cincinnati in the first place because his wife was from there? It is probably his last stop.

You forgot the fact that Rutgers administration isn't as supportive as Cincy. Cincy just remodeled their stadium and are in the process of doing the same to the basketball arena. This is a G5 school that is paying their HC more money than a P5 (Rutgers) without the backlash from the media, professors, and politicians who questioned every move. In general there is greater support from the school and boosters even though they don't have the same access (TV/league payout) as Rutgers. Sometimes there is greater pleasure outside of the bright lights.
