Tomorrow's a must-win now

Depending on how the Arkansas/Kentucky series is resolved, a win tomorrow could put us only 1 game back from the lead in the SEC West.<div>
</div><div>Who's starting? Evan Mitchell? Daryl Norris will be rested, and we'll need 4-5 solid innings out of him as well.</div>

But I might let Devin Jones have a shot. Cohen might have something up his sleeve and start someone that no one expects- like Norris.

They have big shoes to fill. We will probably have to hit a little better tomorrow to keep up, but I feel positive and we have a LOT of momentum. It would be a HUGE series to win.

with Norris, Stark, Graveman, Girodo, Mitchell and Bradford still left he doesn't have to throw that many innings, and he has done a good job in his last two relief appearances.

I think Cohen kind of feels like our starters have issues, but he knows that we have a good bullpen. I think he just wants us to use our strength as much as we can. Hence the short leash with Routt tonight.

The point I was trying to get to with that is we are going to see Cohen throw a lot of pitchers at SC. That is, unless someone comes in relief and shuts them down, which I just don't see happening. Not discrediting any of our pitchers, but SC is VERY good.

he was struggling with his control, it was a great move to pull him.

I also would start Jones, but like you say have the pen ready, who knows maybe Jones pitches his *** off, he looked good the one inning he threw Friday. But I don't have a lot of confidence in him going more than 3 or 4 innings.

Is when you see Routt and Stratton get past the 5th on a somewhat consistent basis. The middle innings kill our starters even when their pitch count is low. Routt was hitting spots then couldn't locate anything in the blink of an eye. Hence the quick move. If stratton and Routt could give quality starts, we could play with anyone in the conference, singles hitting or whatever. We scrap.

and steal every out you can get. After that, its all on hands on deck. Anyone but Stratton and Routt.
