As always - questions are welcomed.

Will there be any enticement offered to these other conferences to schedule tough (usually) SEC teams as their out of conference opponents.

Well, for one thing, when they play at an SEC school, they'll get a nice check from the SECN, which will give a lot of those schools their best chance for national TV coverage for a non-conference game.

Didn`t we get similar perks from playing OSU ? Yet half of our people wanted to kill Scott Stricklin for scheduling them because of the potential of losing. I

Ask this:

Has the SEC office considered that by mandating power opponents from other conferences they have put teams like Vandy, State, and Mississippi in poor bargaining positions? Is there anything they can do/will do to help prevent teams like us having to schedule 2 aways and one home against schools like Minnesota?

Yes we did. And, even though a few in the fanbase weren't happy with it, turning down that paycheck was never really an option.

Chuck's a fellow LHS Wildcat, and as far as I know he still has family in Louisville.

I'm under the impression that the majority of these BCS OOC games will be single games on neutral site locations (MSU vs OSU, LSU vs Wisc, LSU vs TCU, LSU vs Oregon, Bama vs Michigan). Does he have any idea, in very rough terms (50%, 75%), of these games will be 'in season bowl games' at neutral sites vs. home/home.

Also, how does he see MSU fitting into that? Should we be trying to schedule neutral site games or H/H?

"few in the fanbase" ?????? For the record I was for playing them...but each school has to weigh the value of that "paycheck" and exposure against the very real possibility of a loss and it`s bowl implications. I don`t think the decision making process is going to even be similar from one of these BCS school to the next if some serious inducements (or mandates) are not in place.

Do you really think the SEC was stupid enough to do this without even considering what the effects would be? Do you really think they have had no discussions with other conferences (hint: the ACC) about scheduling? We'll wind up with mid-level teams from the other conferences, primarily the ACC, in either neutral site games or home-and-home series.

If an NC State doesn`t want to and doesn`t have to(for the money) play an MSU....EXACTLY what is going to make them sign up if they think an OC win against a weaker opponent is more important than the quick cash to their program ? That`s what I want DS to ask Dunlap.

That`s very interesting. So I would also ask if ESPN has an ACC network in the works and if the plan is to grow the TV footprints of both conferences through scheduling...it would make perfect sense.
