Frazier SS
Bradford CF
Renfroe RF
Detz 3B
Rea 1B
Porter DH
Pirtle 2B
Henderson LF
Ammirati C

Basically the same lineup as the AustinPeay game -- only with Henderson in left instead of Robson. Love the first 7 in this lineup(and the arrangement) -- let's see how it works out against the #1 pitching staff in the country right now...

We match up well tonight against the lowba RH. Hopefully Frazier and Bradford can get some groundbls through the infield.

Hope we aren't chasing slider out of the zone though. If we do, he'll go 7 or 8 innings easy.

he's batting .230 since SEC play began...what more do you have to see?

Plus, it should be a rule in baseball you have to be at least 5'10 to bat 4th

He's still our #2 RBI guy -- #1 OB guy -- #3 Slugging guy -- Walks twice as often as he K's.

I realize the lineup is unconventional with him 4th -- but I've yet to see anyone step up and show me they deserve the 4-hole more than Detz does right now. Again, if he doesn't step up this weekend(and anyone else does), I'll agree that he needs to be moved down -- but I've gone into great detail about what I like about this lineup.

It was a runner on first with 2 outs -- hardly the end of the world situation for a K. Detz has been great situationally on the year and has been cold now for a couple of weeks -- I'm counting on him being the guy we saw for the first month. If he proves he isn't that guy, then I agree -- he needs to be moved down.

Rea K's
Porter grounds out
Pirtle pops out

How does the result improve with anyone else in the 4-hole there?

Impatience! Other teams kill our pitching staff by being patient. Our hitters go off like a 14 year old boy having sex for the first time

The smallest of sample sizes.

One is the loneliest number...

Was that not part of the basis for Coach's post in which I was responding to? Thought so**

The LARGEST sample size still says that Detz is our best OB guy, 3rd best Slugging guy, and 2nd best RBI guy. But you don't like that metric either do you?

Add baserunning idiocy to the list.

Should be runners on the corners right here for Rea with 1 down. Instead, we've got a runner on first with 2 outs...

AND that bouncer by Rea likely scores the run -- to put us down 2-1 with a runner on 2nd with 2 down for Porter.
