I took a break from the board the last couple of weeks. Man, how quickly I forgot the amount of whinging some of you women do. To come back and read, it’s as if things are falling apart in the US. Meanwhile, my real-world observations are the complete opposite.

Let me recap a few things. Here at the scotchtiger household, we had an amazing 4th of July holiday celebrating the birth of this great nation. Fishing the Charleston jetties with the kids on the 3rd, boat trip with 4 families to a friends house on the water in awendaw for the 4th, fireworks in the distance that night, boat to drum island with a few families and kids on the 5th. Just fantastic American family time in a beautiful part of this great country.

Now I’m on a flight back to Charleston from Miami where I took my 9 year old to a Morgan Wallen concert for his birthday. Brooks and Dunn opened and more great Americana as they played “Only in America” followed by 50K people chanting U S A, U S A. Just great. Concert was awesome too.

On the way to Miami, we had a total **** show of flight delays courtesy of American Airlines (which is why I fly delta almost exclusively). But in true American fashion, we made friends with probably 20 people in the airport and hung out all day. They all were hanging out with my son who was devastated that we were going to miss the concert that night due to the flight delay. We turned his day around and I bought tickets for the show the following night. We saw many of them the following morning boarding our alternate flight and he was even asking where “Uncle Jamie” was that he befriended the day before ha. Just great people, great Americans.

Meanwhile on the political and economic front, so many good things are happening. We just prevented the left from raising taxes on most Americans, extended the increased child tax credit and enhanced standard deduction, used by 90% of Americans. Remember Trump reduced taxes on the vast majority of Americans in 2017, beginning with these credits/deductions and a very low starting tax bracket. Do not fall for the “billionaire” ******** from the liars on the left.

We’re implementing wildly popular work requirements for entitlement programs as championed by Bill Clinton in the 90s. Illegal border crossings are down dramatically. We liquidated Iran’s nuke program with a flex of American military superiority

Inflation has receded dramatically. Even with market volatility, the S&P is up over 8% and the Nasdaq up over 11% since the election. Jobs reports seem positive with improved ratio of hiring US born workers.

Incredibly stupid and unfair practices like DEI and boys playing girls sports are on the way out, showing American common sense will prevail over woke ridiculousness.

Speaking of common sense, we’re finally focused on eliminating toxic crap from our food supply (ie fake dyes) and not allowing taxpayer funded nutrition assistance to pay for sugary sodas and other junk. Why did that take so long?

Breathe it in folks. You are living in the greatest country in the world. It’s a great time to be alive and a great time to be an American. So stop your whinging and enjoy it.

We are living in the best, most comfortable, time in all of history no doubt.

My concern is for the future. We need to secure an honest and transparent government. We need to address wealth disparity. We need to address the level of debt that our nation has. And we need to address AI. For the first time in history, humans will no longer be the smartest thing on earth.

I do think AI will be a major disrupter. It doesn’t have to be a bad thing, but I think big changes are coming to the world in the next 10 years and it concerns me very much.

We have major challenges ahead, but that has never stopped us before.

So while it is appropriate to stop and smell the roses as you suggest, we can’t get complacent. We need to leave a good future for our children.

I really have NO REASON TO BE ON HERE to complain as just sit tight and Trump who will do some stuff I might not agree with will do lots i do agree with and it's called compromise and accepting life is NOT BURGER KING and I can't always HAVE IT MY WAY 100% of the time

So loving life , enjoying my kids and grandkids and using my retired time to have fun with family and volunteer with organizations to make my community better

We need to address wealth disparity...................................For this we need to focus on literacy..........One of my volunteer projects I am advocating for in my community is literacy with one program I am helping support is the Dolly Parton Imagination Reading Foundation............Providing Young Children Monthly books

We need to secure an honest and transparent government....On this we need to minimize government and strengthen FOIA I serve in a small local elected office and people like to be secret.............I am all about open and tell it all.... I think better government is more letting the states take care of each state under the guidance of Federal oversight

And we need to address AI.................................Uncharted waters here. Have no ideas or answers but it can do great good or be a horrible disaster

The Good News is we are heading into a Golden Age if probably managed will bring great wealth to USA and to the entire world

Just need leadership to see it through and protect us SHEEP WHO ARE REALLY DUMB...................... LOL
