Just a different rating from another source. Can't explain how they are ranked. Just reporting numbers. Very interesting though. Looks like they are missing some games for a couple teams.

They are listed at 19th with a record of 7-1 so they are one of the few teams missing a game.

VSHL-Reference is a wonderful site, but today is the first time I've looked at it this season and they have lots of missing games and have yet to correct some mistakes like Surry beating Park View when Park View actually beat Surry

I dont get GW #7 at all. IMO theyre not in the top 20.

Looks like they use an RPI ranking that factors heavily into the rankings. Which from their site is calculated off of Winning percentage, opponents winning percentages, and the opponents opponents winning percentage.

I just looked at the VHSL weekly ratings and it shows Surry with 1 win in week 10 (Brunswick) and a Loss in week 9 (Park view). Park View shows a win in week 9. It is the same on the Tri-Rivers district site.

Vhsl reference and vhsl are two different sites.
Vhsl reference is pretty much records with a bunch of mathematical equations that do rankings, predictions, and other random stats. It used to be where everyone went for schools historical records. Which now everyone should use four seasons
