I've never been annoyed with fans in the 70+ games I went to - except once.
Maryland fans at the 07 game were super obnoxious
I remember a couple dozen of them chanting "SAFTEY SCHOOL!" before the game even started

I nominate the 10% of the Rutgers fan base who would rather be vindicated for their hate of Schiano instead of seeing RU win.

Their response: but Colby don't you understand? Until we get rid of GS we'll never win.

PSU and UM top two for sure.

Some of their fans would probably eat their own crap if you told them too they’re that brainwashed or obsessed with themselves.

I would agree with PSU but the weird thing is I found most of them to be fairly nice and hospitable at their stadium, although the JoePa shrine was weird and creepy. I have found their fans quite obnoxious whenever they come to our stadium.

When I hear talk about annoying fan bases or players I am reminded of an old work colleague, who was from Philadelphia and Phillies fan. For years he hated Lenny Dykstra for his arrogance when Lenny played for the Mets. Absolutely could not stand him and was pissed off when the Phillies acquired him. It didn’t take my friend long to love Lenny after he was traded. What used to be arrogance was now grit and determination.

I see it the same way with fanbases. A “passionate“ fan in one man’s eyes is a douchebag in someone else’s
