well not really... Cotton Bowl is moved to Cowboys Stadium starting now and the Red River Shootout is either going to home at home or also moving to Arlington.

Besides, the Cotton Bowl is a piece of **** stadium, and I am too tall to even sit in one of those seats.

El Paso? Because its the closest stadium to another country? Really?

I would think being in close proximity to those Mexican border towns would be a bad thing.

I would not put ours in there but Georgia Tech has the oldest stadium in the country and a beautiful backdrop of downtown Atlanta.

Wrong...
The Red River Rivalry will be staying in dallas until at least 2015.. A agreement was reached several years ago after $20 million in expansion and renovations asked for by the schools was done.

I will be happy to admit when I am wrong, but even that article says the contract was not signed... and I do not believe it was EVER signed. I also do not remember the renovations ever happening.

I remember voting on that bond issue to do more renovations to the stadium but I do not think they ever actually did them.

The only signed contract that exists ends after the 2010 Cotton Bowl.

The renovations did occur.. 2 years ago in fact.. the upper decks were added on each endzone, media and vip additions and various other addends to increase capacity from 76 to 92,000 which was shattered this season with 96k attending.
I will be getting a close up look of it in a couple of weeks in fact.

As far as the signed contract, every news story I find has the extension thru 2015 with the schools signing it in 2007.

and besides the RRR, there is the State Fair classic, and a new bowl in 2010 the dallas football classic between the big 10 and cusa.

I would put Doak Campbell, Sanford Stadium and the Rose Bowl near the top with Florida Field and the Coliseum at the bottom with Cotton Bowl dead last. </p>

Then I am wrong and I admit it... I must be thinking with my Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones glasses on. But then again I did move out of the country in 2006 and have only been back to the DFW area to visit my parents twice in that time.

I just wish I could have listened to the Ticket this morning as I am fairly certain the Musers would have had a fake Tiger Wood interview that would have been priceless.
