UGa will not finish #1. They may finish in the top 10.

LSU will finish between 10-15.

Mizzou will lose 3 games and not finish in the top 10.

Ohio State may finish #3 but they are overrated

Clemson will not finish that high.

Georgia- while very good, I'm not convinced they are the best team in the country
Ohio St- they simple are not one of the top 5 teams in the country
Clempson- i bet they lose 3 games
VaTech- ugly team
Brigham Young- no way they should be that high

Without a proven leader at QB, with Miles still at the helm, I bet they lose 3-4 games. Flynn, Hester, Steltz, Dorsey, those guys were leaders with heart. BIG losses. I like LSU, but I don't think, nor have a I ever thought, Les Miles was a good coach. But you cannot argue with a National Title, even though his players were basically all NFL caliber. Larry Coker also won a Title you know.

Still, I think you see LSU at 8-4 about No. 20 in the country towards the end. Sorry Stallion.

Miles is only 63-24 as a head college coach with a National Title...yeah, he's terrible...

The same people that talk about Carroll being a solid QB in the SEC wanna bash LSU with a 4-star QB this season? Really? They may have the best OL and DL in the nation...they are loaded at RB and WR...very good at TE...

I question their inexperienced secondary more than their QB. They are going to line up on offense, run it down peoples throats (and they have more of a big-play threat this year in Murphy than Hester), and throw simple passes to their WR's till Lee gets some experience.
Anybody like you Bi-polar that wants to praise Crooms for the way he handled Carroll last year as a true freshmens and how he performed, cant possibly bash LSU and their 4-star QB who is in his 3rd year in college btw...

Now, they may lose 3 games because they play @Auburn, and then @Fla, @SC, and home against Georgia in a row...but it wont be because they are over-rated

so I'll say a few things and leave you with it.
The same people that talk about Carroll being a solid QB in the SEC
What's that got to do with anything? He can be solid. As solid as he wants to be.

They may have the best OL and DL in the nation...they are loaded at RB and WR...very good at TE...
They were even better last year and lost 2 games. Almost lost a couple more. You act like high school rated talent alone is all that matters. You should know better.

Anybody like you Bi-polar that wants to praise Crooms for the way he handled Carroll last year as a true freshmens and how he performed, cant possibly bash LSU and their 4-star QB who is in his 3rd year in college btw...
Speculate much? Lots of QB's, regardless of star rating, take time to develop. Happen to catch Stafford's first year at Georgia? They lost to Vanderbilt. Anthony Morelli? Vince Young? Lee's in his 2nd year of college by the way.
Now, they may lose 3 games because they play @Auburn, and then @Fla, @SC, and home against Georgia in a row...but it wont be because they are over-rated
Nice contradiction.

Come on, I expected better than that. The least you could do is talk about LSU, you know, the team I mentioned, without having to bring up MSU and bash them to attempt to prove a point.

Basically, Lee is a better QB than Carroll is what its got to do with it. And hate to tell you, he is starting his 3rd year in college....LSU will manage the game with him just as they have other QB's that havent had alot of starts (like that guy Flynn last year)...All i heard out of you and others last year was that there was no way they could replace Russell and Miles was going to fall on his face...how did that work out for ya?

"They were even better last year and lost 2 games. Almost lost a couple more. You act like high school rated talent alone is all that matters. You should know better."

Not on the OL they werent, and they will be just as good on the DL....many feel Francious is better than last years 1st Round pick...

aGAIN, their schedule may do them in, but they arent over-rated...and Auburn better have their **** together when they come to town...

about this topic. Of course, I probably wouldn't have either.
Last I heard, that "4-star" QB wasn't playing well enough to beat the walk-on. Hardly awe-inspiring.
By the way, we have a 4-star QB too. He's second string.
All the talent in the world with no QB can't win games- just ask Charlie Weiss.

"Their schedule may do them in."
That's exactly what I've been saying. We should start calling you john kerry.

You think at #6 they're not overrated?? 17ing #6?

i knew you would be responding anyways since LSU was named as overrated in the orginal article.

too bad state wasn't ranked so that you could call us overrated due to the lack of offense. then you would have been able to fight both of your more common battles at the same time.

if you gave every other top 10 team their schedule...and having to play @Auburn, @Fla, @SC, and then Georgia...those teams would have at least 1-2 losses as well..talent-wise they are one of the top 10 teams in the nation, thats not even disputable...

I think they will play a little more conservative and let him hand off more behind that great line. That will help him alot. You think Auburn feels alot better about their QB situation right now?

overrated according to this poll. I'm convinced Miles is a good coach, but they have lost 2 games every year he's been there. Last year they lost to two average SEC teams and won many close ones (Auburn, Bama, UF). I just don't think LSU will finish as high as ranked here. They do have an inexperienced QB and lost some serious leadership from last year's team. It might not matter because they are loaded with talent.

I think another thing that is about to happen to them is a post-BCS Championship hangover. I really could see them losing four games, especially with either a Fr. or a walk-on at QB. They can outman some teams- like State- but when it comes to teams that have similar talent, the instability at QB could do them in. Now, the Fr. QB may step up, but even guys like Matt Stafford have had growing pains in the SEC.

Also, you have to think that LSU probably used all of their good fortune up last year- like making the BCS title game after losing to Arkansas, beating Auburn where they basically won on a ball that they just threw up in the air, and beating the officials at Bama, and of course, having an easy draw with an overrated Ohio State team in New Orleans.

He has also won 10 games every year he has been there...and nobody else in their history can say that...

anyone that thinks ohio state is overrated this year is an idiot...they were a year ahead of schedule last year its not their fault no one else wanted to play for the championship
this year:
best rb in the country
best lb in the country
top 3 wrs back
5th year senior starting at qb
+ pryor
best coach in the country
possibly the best secondary in the country
throw in a senior K and P

say what you want but its hard to say a team like that is overrated

best rb in the country- Chris Wells- (I had to look up his name) there are about 5 RB in the SEC just as good or better
best lb in the country- up for debate
top 3 wrs back- so what, they couldn't run with LSU and won't run on USC this year
5th year senior starting at qb- was that the same qb that got smoked in the title game
+ pryor
best coach in the country- while Tressel is top ten he is not #1. Big exaggeration
possibly the best secondary in the country - possibly
throw in a senior K and P - who cares

My main point is as is everyone else's that has seen Big 10 football, it's not nearly as good as the SEC, PAC10, or Big12. It's slower, and OSU is the best they have to offer and they have been completely embarrassed for two years in the title game. To me you have to beat the best to be the best. I hate preseason rankings anyway- they suck.

I'd like to see your list of 5 RBs in the SEC better than Wells. However, if you had to look up his name you probably don't follow college football outside the SEC anyway.
