Buzz, genuinely curious on why you have ER below MH and Starmount?
I have ER, MA, STM as the 3 best teams with ER #1. Granted I haven't seen them play in person. MH could maybe be in the mix with the top 3 if they have expanded the offense with more weapons and much improved defense.

I'd think it's bears, Eastern Randolph / Murphy. Then heritage. Just like the Rams they are more a one-trick pony with their quarterback. Except I think they're offense uses him more effectively.
There's a big difference in the way Heritage uses their QB and the way the Rams do. Just basing off of last year's Heritage team the QB just ran the ball the entire time. When he tried to throw it didn't look good at all. Rams QB plays like a traditional college QB with getting everyone involved and runs some as well.
Heritage is a lot better than they were last year I know that's a hard to comprehend but the same could be said for Starmount lol, Heritage beat a really good 3a team in Erwin that most teams on this list would have trouble beating we also just trashed Mitchell by more than MA beat Allegheny and Mitchell beat Allegheny the playoffs will sort this out but Heritage should 100 percent be in the conversation with MA ER and Starmount.
MA had several out in this game with injuries and half team had flue all week. Mitchell barely beat Alleghany 28-21
Not hard to comprehend at all. I fully expected them to be better than last year. How is the passing game this year?
Better but they're still and always a run first team
It will be a long day if you are a run first team because we are the same as past teams years very tough to run against and I guarantee you we have ever bit if not better defense than Erwin.
I'm not arguing there I'm just saying Heritage at least deserves to be in the conversation for those who haven't seen us play and think we're not better than last year's team, Mt. Airy D is probably better than Erwin but Idk if any team in 1a has a better Offense
When watching some of the video from them this year and thinking back on last years group that's exactly what I said. They look athletic all across the field.
It would be a good western final for sure. Our offense isn’t as strong as last year but when you lose 6 college recruits it takes some readjusting but when it comes to the defense we are every bit as good and rushing yards per game average says we are better. We have the longest streaks in the state with less than 30 & 20 points allowed and that is even with all classes.

Mountain Heritage has a really good coach that's been there a while. When they were in 2a West Stokes was fortunate to beat them in the west semifinals in 2019. They will have good line play and control the clock
I remember that game our offense struggled that year despite us being pretty decent, I say we still will try to control the clock but we're more of a threat to score than most years
I think all 5 teams have a chance to represent the West but have to play 4 quarters against Mt Airy. ER definitely had the talent last year but they haven't shown they can play and make adjustments at halftime. I've watched them lose twice to Mt Airy and once to WS. Maybe I bring them bad luck. What do you think KIDD?
That young o line is pretty good but wish they were older and a few other things I not sure I would have the cats at 1… but I deff don’t see heritage there, I would say MA 1 for now.. to be the man got to beat the manYep it’s definitely you…

Mount Airy vs Allegheny, From what I was told, Mount Airy had 6 players who did not even dress out with injury or the flu bug last week. They are all getting better for the playoffs. They had JVs that did not play Allegheny Thursday night playing Friday. lol. put that in your pip and try and smoke it !

10 of those are JV freshman that joined the team after the JV season got cancelled we have 35 varsity players including all our sophomores cause The WHC and The SMC jvs are 8th and 9th graders so yeah lol

Your JV season ended on 10/12 last year and 10/10 this year. Should I post that schedule too?

The JV season ended 9/19 after the rosman game and Helene hit after that 10 or so freshman moved up to varsity because the JV season was canceled does that make sense lol? I promise I'm not pulling your leg lol
TD, I wouldn’t put all your stock in Maxpreps, as they are quite often wrong. It was week four this year before Maxpreps changed the name of the Thomasville head coach from Kevin Gillespie. If you look at the roster today, it shows 16 players. Just like with computers, garbage in, garbage out.
If you mess with MaxPreps much and sign in it has where the coach or athletic director have to sign in to make changes. You have to sign in with a password. I think some as coaches are slack at reporting stats to the NCHSAA Record Books they also don't make MaxPreps a top priority which they have more important things to do but someone should be appointed to report any changes in schedules or stats. As it reads below.

He was right it shows their last jv game was 9/19 and they had record of 2-2. Probably made changes after that game

Real Talk --- What i dont see is Truth in this thread. Corvian is the GOSPEL. ER to one dimensional for a third rd showdown with us. Starmount To much of a 1a team with no depth. The so called champs are a one trick pony with a secondary that is silky soft. Early prediction - Corvian vs Tarboro in the ship. Somebody gonna have to call the LAW after that game. That secondary gonna experience a BEATING for 4 quarters. It aint a simple assault charge either , its gonna be ASSAULT WITH SEVERAL DEADLY OFFENSIVE WEAPONS. Chime in or Cricket in as i know some of you will shut down as you know whats coming but some of you will ring loud and clear till the saturday morning after the truth has been TOLD
