Torbush must be coaching the D for the Niners.

If we ONCE come out in a 3 man defensive front when it is ANYTHING less than 3rd and 15, Torbush should be fired immediately. No questions asked.

...we should never do it. That's his "safe defense" call. He did it aGAINst Kentucky...on third and 16...and you guessed it....first down, Kentucky.

For that defense to work, you've got to have three beasts on the defensive line, and you've got to bring two more guys....maybe a backer and a safety. Sending everyone back in a zone and only rushing three is like playing russian roulette with a fully-loaded gun. You know it's not going to end well.

I hope Torbush leaves after this year. It would be so awesome to have a brilliant defensive mind to go with the brilliant offensive mind we have on offense.

Torbush is just average. He's nowhere near Ron Cooper bad, but he's no Ellis Johnson either. And for the record Joe Lee Dunn in his prime was the best I've seen at MSU. Torbush is more like Bill Clay part II.

We have Jamar, KJ, and Chris in the linebacker spots. From everything I have seen, all three of them are fast and really good athletes. Chaney is undersized though for a MLB spot. Then we have Kyle Love, who can't move but is pretty hard to move. We have McPhee who is above average. So...by that logic we have 5 out of 7 guys there are above average players in the SEC. What am I missing? Why do we struggle against the run? I understand why we couldn't stop Tech (Torbush was clueless as most teams are) but why did Auburn (390, their highest total all year, they average 230 , Florida (250, average 240 ) and Kentucky (189, average 190) run over us with ease? Remember, these "averages" for teams include non-conference games. Granted we handled LSU VERY well. But, what's the problem?

In our secondary, every single player is probably below average for the SEC. Mitchell may be average. So, I understand the struggles there.

Offensively, every single one of our players is below average save Dixon and maybe Sherrod.

with that.

Maybe it's because it seems like we have only about three blitz packages, and we don't disguise them very well. Heck, I can tell from the stands when we are blitzing and when we aren't, and I ain't no John Elway.

USUALLY the only reason why that is "disguised" is because the corner "disguises" it so well that it takes him a second and a half(after the snap of course) to even get to their offensive line.

We seem to be the defense that the pre-snap adjustment was invented. Against Auburn-1. Show blitz 2. Chris Todd makes the adjustment. 3. 8 yard-TD pickup. 4. Go back to step 1 and repeat.

Jamar Chaney weighs 250 lbs and is all muscle. How big do you want you MLB to be? Rolando McClain is the exception, not the rule.
