Tough conversation: is Allar good enough?

The fact that you think the ND pick is everyone's fault or some crap like that which you concoct is evidence you don't have an objective opinion of Allar.
It doesn't prove that. It proves your bias.
The route was ran incorrectly which we were told. When a WR doesn't execute bad things happen. We've seen this already with Pena and Hudson drifting upfield on routes instead having clean cuts. We should have been playing for OT given the disaster that was our passing attack in that game which I said prior to the pick on the old board. And, yes, Drew made a bad decision. Hence lots of blame including Drew

Im far from an Allar apologist and have real concerns about him in big spots, but you should watch out O-lines piss poor effort on that ND interception. He moves left and we just dont strain to hold a block for even a second and there is a free rusher at his feet. He panicked(cant take a sack there) and was forced to throw off his back foot inaccurate and low.

Allar kinda sucks. Just like Clifford. Looks like he’s going to have an anxiety attack half the time. Overwhelmed, uncomfortable, indecisive, not instinctive…. They have to go hurry up offense to get himself out of his own head.

He's won every game he should have including 2 playoff games. He beats ND if a certain DB doesn't trip over his own feet.
Allar was 12-23, 135 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT in that game.

Yes our DB fell down (just like Michigan game) but if you think those stats are good I'm not going to convince you otherwise.

Don't forget the other two horrible throws into the endzone that should have been picks. Of course, those were not his fault at all.

I never once said he played in that game. I said we wins if not for that which is true

Anybody catch the announcers comments during the Nova game regarding what Knowles said to his DB's last year regarding Allar?

Does Allar and/or his parents read this board?

Does anyone remember getting reprimanded by the usual toady bootlickers after anything critical of an underperforming player was posted ?

Who are the real morons, the people posting in this thread or the people wasting their time reading the posts?

Altmeyer (76.2 (34th)
Underwood 75.7 (35th)

Allar 38.3 (111th)

It's difficult to put a good spin on the results through 3 games.
Only easy to spin that by the Fan Boys.

We should be running an offense that supports that best of all the talent we have. Which is why Drew is great when we run a spread offense. Just deal with reality
Did we run the spread against O$U? ND?

The system is good enough to reach the National Semi Finals and finish top 5 in the nation (proven) but that's where it hits the brick wall?
Only if we get in and get last years easy draw. SMU was ~ 30th…Pitato State ~ 20th

Let’s give Allar a break. He has an extra week to learn how to play football before oregon.

No, I didn't. What did they say?

It was early in the 3rd quarter, iirc (bourbon). They were discussing Drew's struggles after his fast start in the first half. One of the announcers said that Knowles told him (paraphrasing) that he told OSU's dbs not to worry about separation on deep balls because they'd be able to regain position as his deep throws tend to have too much air.

I'm guessing this was said last season before or shortly after the game against OSU, but he didn't specify. I'm guessing throwing off of your back foot or from a more upright position would cause the ball to sail, as opposed to driving off your front foot. It does speak to how strong his arm is, though.

All that said, I think Drew is more than good enough, certainly better than me.
