Which region will be the toughest meat grinder to get out of for a trip to the state semifinals?

I thought it would be fun to talk about everyone's picks for the toughest regions in each classification. The region could be tough based on a lot of good teams, but not a lot of great teams. Or, it could be tough with a few powerhouses and teams who can hang for a half or so. It could be tough because there's so much balance, there's no telling who will emerge for a trip to the semifinals.

Also, just because one is in a tough region, doesn't mean they will automatically win a state title.

But you be the judge.

So I will go ahead and start.

Class 1: Region D
Class 2: Region A
Class 3: Region C
Class 4: Region B
Class 5: Region C
Class 6: Region B

Class 1 Region C Depth wise and recent history, G.Wythe, Galax, Grayson, are trading state title appearances in the West.
Class 2 Region D. Graham and Union are like Khabib. They like to Smash, but in addition to smashing, Graham can also run around you.
Class 3 Region D
Class 4 Region B
Class 5 Region B
Class 6 Region A

2A might can take claim to best region. When I say best, I'm thinking most competitive within their region and also how many teams from that region could possibly win a state championship.

Thomas Jefferson - RVA
Armstrong
Poquoson
King William are as strong of a top 4 you can have.

Add in
Nottoway
Amelia
Prince Edward
Central Lunenburg

When those schools have had consistent staff's they are competitive.

4B is the BEST Football Region in the State of Virginia it’s not close. Varina, Huguenot, Dinwiddie, Louisa!! Those Top 4 can win every region in the state except maybe two (6A, 5B)
The bottom four playoff teams in 4B would likely finish around #2 or #3 in 4A, and probably #1 or #2 in both 4C and 4D. At least very close

4B is the toughest region in the state, but I disagree with the idea that the bottom four playoff teams from that region would have a cakewalk through 4D.

I agree. Not because C&D are that weak, but because the bottom 4 teams in B are at the bottom for a reason. No offense to those teams, because bless those kids hearts, they are out there trying. But some schools just don’t embrace football.
