Boom after the Missouri game.
That was the start of the dissension, but some on this board refuse to acknowledge how much this affected locker room. It was the first cancel cell and it spread like wild fire. Incredible selfish act for a ball player to quit the team after a HUGE WIN.

It's good that Towles is gone. His statistics speak for themselves.

Anywhere in his statistics mentioned dropped passes, unblocked blitzers, having to pick sod out of his face mask after a sack and timid receivers?

Towles was a good kid with a strong but scatter gun arm. He also had darned little help.

Statistics without intelligence are for couch offensive coordinators.

It was obvious when the receivers were openly missing easily catchable balls with Towels, and Barker would come in and suddenly they make those catches. That team didn't play for him. I said it week 4.

A very scattered arm. He had very little consistency.

I will say, stoops managed him pitifully. His best attribute was his legs and we completely ignored it for 3/4 of the season. Just a pitiful coaching job all the way around.

One of the most pleasurable good riddance's this program has ever had. Don't let the door hit your a$$ on the way out! Thanks for the memories of sucking for 2 straight years as a starter I guess? People are going to get on me for this and as many problems as I have with stoops and his coaching ability (or inability for that matter, its pretty nonexistent honestly), the man did give you every chance in the world to make something happen and you never produced. And the thanks you give stoops for giving a good word for you is throwing him under the bus by saying he used Dawson as the sacrificial lamb? Completely destroyed my opinion of he's a high character kid that's just a horrible football player. Nope not only is he an awful football player, I question his character now because for him to throw someone under the bus that's given him every chance to succeed (too many chances honestly) and someone that has done so much for him. Couldn't be happier to see this guy leave he was an atrcious QB at best and if BC decides to start him, have fun with your defense staying on the field 40+ minutes a game! I think it'll be really sad if BC fans are actually excited to have him. If you have a blind orangutang on the roster BC, then you'll be better off starting the orangutang over towles. Because the man is a garbo at best QB. As I said good riddance. Your services are definitely not needed here nor will you be missed.
How come I feel like you are not man enough to say this to Towles face?

What's funny is me and him have actually hooked up with some of the same females (only one lol) and I absolutely would not be afraid to say anything to his face. I'm the same size as him he's just got 3 inches on me.

Well, that explains why you ONLY hooked with one of the same females.

No, he should take Dawson with him and they'd have the same success there they did here.

I have nothing against Patrick. Wish him the best. But I don't think he is a good QB. Receivers didn't help him that much and the line wasn't the best. But Woodson, Couch, JLo, and even Hartline didn't have any better Oline and they still were successful. I hope Patrick turns it around and becomes a stud. If he does, then we will know we're in deep trouble coaching wise. If there was dissent on this team and players didn't give it 100% because of it, then they should be kicked off the team. I believe Jared made a comment about divas on the team causing problems or something like that. Hope that isn't the case.

you two losers can go with Towles and root for some other team with that attitude. Stoops will either get it done or he won't but openly rooting for the guy to leave 3 years into this thing just tells me you're either trolls or just terrible fans.

Stoops is making needed changes to get us over the hump and I believe the fans will and should still support the staff. The bandwagoners like yourself can stop with your 3 years of continuous support you've given the team. Thanks but your services are no longer needed.

What changes is it that he is making to get us over the hump?

Based on the twitter reaction from different players, Id say the division was with some of the players and Dawson. Towles and a few of the others were probably willing to follow orders, while the rest werent so convinced. Something just didnt mesh with Dawson and some of the players.
