Please explain how Alvarez is able to get out of his commitment to NC State..Is he a high school kid who signed but now has decided to wrestle at Rutgers?

Awesome news to start a summer weekend. Will he RS and likely be pegged to start at 133 to replace Suriano next year? Or does he go into the fire at 125 as a TF in a position of need?

Looking at that final Howard looked like the better kid , much more aggressive. Alvarez just countered real well and took the title. What an impressive class.

I bet Alvarez starts at 125 as a TF and then replaces Suriano at 133 after he graduates next year. Alvarez really plugs up a weak spot in the lineup at 125 this year.

I don’t know how early recruiting can start in wrestling, but for those that are really tied into youth wrestling, is there starting to be an effect on the younger kids around the state considering we have huge crowds, National Champions, and big name high school upperclassmen committing ?
