I'm not sure anyone in college baseball is better than UNC at identifying guys who can move up in competition and thrive.
Two kids who were player of the year in their conference so far. Not too shabby

We knock it out of the park with position players in the portal every year - no doubt…I often wonder why we can’t do the same with stud pitchers - the price tags?

I asked on another thread who on our staff is in charge of portal recruiting because they have done a phenomenal job the last couple of years at finding superb plug and play position replacements. Who play the game our way
Last two years we’ve returned great pitching and brought in elite freshmen.
Yep. It seems like we like to have experience in the field, especially up the middle and bring in great young talent on the mound. Not a bad plan, IMO.
