Trent Johnson just got outcoached.

Stansbury figured out LSU and our players simply outplayed them! Sorry LSU... you cannot play 4 straight days.

good luck in the NCAA tourney. Hopefully you can represent our conference.

1980? I understand the motivation argument but we dominated LSU in the 2nd half today.

But the game really doesn't matter. LSU won't make it past the sweet 16 anyway. So No. 5 or 6 or even a 7 seed won't make a difference. LSU is all about matchups and if they play a team with a strong big man they could be in trouble.

I am saying that it was meaningless game for LSU and you could see it in the body language in both teams. I would have loved LSU to play with more inspiration, but they didn't and State was playing for their NCAA tourney lives. Do you not agree with that?

considering if you would've won the tournament you probably would've been a 4 or maybe better.

Your beloved Tigaahs have cost themselves at least 3 seeding spots in the last 4 games. Y'all are limping to the finish and will now have a much harder draw in the NCAAT.

but the SEC hasn't gotten respect all year and LSU was a 5 at best in most tournament brackets. Don't get me wrong...I hope State wins the whole thing to get another team in the tourney, but it really was apparent that LSU didn't come out with the same intensity as State.

but you act as if it SHOULD have been meaningless and it doesn't really matter. So you agree that our coach did a better job of motivating his team. Your coach did not motivate his team today. Maybe it will help them next week, but don't downplay LSU's loss with a backhanded compliment to MState. It also demonstrates that our team could have been better earlier this year.

but it certainly did to the LSU players and coaches. They wanted to win. State simply outplayed them. No need to dismiss State's victory.

Desperation = Miss. St. playing for a tourney bid
Meaningless game - LSU who is already in
doesn't change the fact that it's a loss...sounds like sour grapes....

is that it wasn't as nearly as a meaningful game for LSU as it was for State...you could see it in the body language and the intensity. You guys wanted it and LSU played like ****.

So which was it?? Did they want to be SECT champions or was it a meaningless game? You can't have both.

to motivate. Our coach did his job. We outplayed and outcoached the greatest team in the SEC.

and LSU tried to cut into State's lead late in the game. I remember LSU hustling back to block a shot that would have put State up by ten. LSU then cut the lead to five (apparently by just going throught the motions, right?). LSU played hard but got outplayed. It's not hard to accept.

You can want to win something, but not put the effort toward it. LSU lacked the same intensity that I have seen them play with in much of the season today. It appeared they settled for where they are...it was very apparent that the two teams were very different in terms of intensity throughout the game.

Not much difference in a 4 and a 5 as they play in the second round if seeding holds.

In the last five years, 4 seeds have won 28 games in the NCAAs while 6 seeds have won 21, including only three in each of the last three years.
